To ANY AND ALL Jason Mraz fans out there, or anyone really, who wants to help a girl show the love of her life that she cares.

As you can read in the tweets above, I am trying to get them to help me with a gift for my Boyfriend. It will be our anniversary next month, and he is honestly the most special person to ever come into my life and I want to get him something amazing.
He makes me feel like I am on top of the world, like I am beautiful, like I can sing at the top of my lungs with no fear of anybody listening, like I can’t do a single thing wrong because life is about living and everybody makes mistakes sometimes. He makes me feel loved.
When we first started talking, there was an instant connection. He was charming, easy to talk to, it honestly felt like we had already known each other. Within probably the first hour, the effortlessly beautiful and talented Jason Mraz was brought into the conversation; and since then, we would listen to his songs together, read articles about him, talk about our concert experiences, and just our overall love for the man who brings sunshine into everyone’s day just by the sound of his voice or the way he strums a guitar. For his birthday last year, I had even tried mailing him his own copy of YES! because he was living across the country from me at the time & that CD was the soundtrack to a lot of our most memorable dates.
After my boyfriend and I started dating, we realized how many times we had almost met but didn’t. We have mutual friends, so we had almost gone to numerous parties, shows for our friend’s band, and even concerts we attended. After noting the fact that we almost had these ‘collisions’ I decided to look back at photos from the concert we had both attended at DTE Energy Music Theatre for Jason Mraz’s ‘Love Is a Four Letter Word’ Tour with Christina Perri. I had always joked how we could’ve sat next to each other without even knowing, but I never expected anything of the sort to be true. At the beginning of Christina’s set, I took photos while people were filing into the seats, trying to get photos of this beautiful outdoor stage experience that DTE has to offer. I reminisced looking at these photos and noticed two familiar looking bodies, and I instantly knew. I zoomed into the photo to make sure, and I saw my boyfriend and his best friend, sitting close to the stage, 3 years prior to us meeting.
It’s amazing how things work, isn’t it? You hear fairytales and happy endings in the movies, but everybody tells you that life is never like that. Everybody tells you that life will NEVER be like that. I am here to tell this story to prove that these crazy things do happen. They seem unreal, like they don’t make sense, and hey, a lot of you probably won’t believe me when you read this post. But it is the truth. It is our truth, and it is a part of our love story.
This past year with my boyfriend, has been the best year of my life. He has shown me that love can conquer all, that trusting people can be such an empowering and beautiful experience. He has shown me how to sing along to our favourite songs, how to dance in a movie theatre full of people, how to flip the perfect pancake in a frying pan on a Saturday morning. He has shown me what it’s like to be so in love with the way that somebody laughs. He has shown me how it feels to be wanted, and how it feels to be thought of, and how it feels to be truly taken care of. He has shown me that the little things in life matter the most. My favourite part, and the thing I am most grateful for is that he has shown me a real love. Him.
I want him to know how special he is. How special that moment was, even though we didn’t know each other, but to still be experiencing the magic of music, together, in a way. I want him to know that I pay attention to the little things, like that water bottle, and I want him to have the absolute best in life.
So for anyone who reads this, whether you are a Jason Mraz fan, a hopeless romantic, a friend, or even just a person out there, any favourite, reblog, or share would be the best gift you could give to me so I can give the best gift (other than my unconditional love) to the person I care about most in this entire world.
Please help his team notice this. I don’t expect them to send me signed merch, or give me a phone call from the wordplay master himself. I just need their help to locate a Jason Mraz Water bottle, that way I can make the love of my life smile. Only God knows how many times he has given the gift of happiness to me.
