The Pilgrim Spring Motel of North Truro, Massachusetts opened in 1955 with 44 rooms. In 2006, most of the motel was demolished and Artist Jay Critchley turned the A-frame office into an art installation called the Beige Motel. He coated the building with sand, opened the interior as a gallery and lit up the exterior with various colored lights at night. in 2007, he attempted to sell it on eBay, with no takers. the elevated railway has been gliding through wuppertal since 1901. then as now, it is an innovative means of transport, not least because it is separated from the road. there are wonderful views of the railway everywhere in the city as it winds its way through the valley of the wupper or directly above it.

seit 1901 schwebt sie durch wuppertal, die hochbahn. damals wie heute ein innovatives verkehrsmittel auch durch die trennung von der straße. überall in der stadt bieten sich wunderbare einblicke auf die bahn, die sich im stadtgebiet durch das tal der wupper beziehungsweise direkt über ihr windet.
