The walls of the garage are a neutral pink. It becomes a yard in the back and a driveway with a simple gate in front. His clients park up and everything is in plain sight — signs, paintbrushes and Bruce.
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to make a font of this. Record what eventually will become a lost art (its ONE guy!) Its uniquely Trinidadian and we should celebrate it. Good thing he didn’t go into Advertising… :P
If you can watch and listen to a piece of music for 7 and a half minutes straight then you know that it is something rather spectacular to say the least. Woodkid is one of the most underrated musicians around with his brand of dramatic, anthemic and symphonic music being some of the best music I’ve heard in years. A few days ago he dropped a live recorded version of his instrumental track Volcano which is unlike anything I’ve ever heard or seen live before, its simply astonishing. Woodkid proves once again that he is the king of drums and a man who deserves to make a stand in the music scene - Jakk
A bowl. The smallest pottery unit. What Eva Zeisel describes as the playful search for beauty. What Theaster Gates tributes his "miniature Versailles" in the south side of Chicago. And how the remarkable Bill Strickland will begin his story. http://bit.ly/1PGRdf1

Check out these captivating illustrations from of Jamaican artist Taj Francis. The artist began drawing as a child and after being mentored by his uncle, a graphic designer, decided to study art. Focused on black culture, Francis tells us that his latest work “looks at the multiple facets and rich vibrancy” of the culture “through stylistic free flow patterns and color”. And in regards to the creative process, Taj states that creativity is about taking risks: “taking ideas and having fun with it. You know, doing something out of the norm. The thing about creativity, it might fail you. It’s more something prone to failing than something that is safe.” Explore his work below.
