Latin music has been dominating charts across the globe as of late and it’s clear to see what when you’ve got artists like Lily Lyon who releases tracks like Bomba, inspired by the unity within her community in Brazil that came from music and dancing. The track is filled with a fiery beat that is perfect for any party playlist and passionate vocals from Lyon but one of my favourite things is how she effortlessly switches between the English and Portuguese language, it just adds a certain level of flair that I find entrancing.

Scandinavians have been producing some of the best pop around the past few years and it’s no real surprise that Amanda Tenfjord’s is a pop star in the making. Her latest track No Thanks is about shutting down a relationship quickly as you realise the suitor is no good for you and is the perfect track to show off Tenfjord’s high level of vocal sass, ability to create an addictive hook and lyrics with a good bite to them. Amanda Tenfjord is a star in the making and it won’t surprise me if I see her dominating the charts in years to come.

Fun, energetic and something you just want to dance to is probably the best way to describe NINA and her new track One Sip. It’s the type of track you don’t need to take too seriously with the cheeky lyrics, an addictive beat and the uplifting nature that just puts a smile on your face. Sometimes you just need to have fun with a song and just focus on making people feel good and NINA has done that perfectly with One Sip.

Although she dropped this track onto Souncloud over 8 months ago Ava Max has finally officially released her track Not Your Barbie Girl. She takes that classic Aqua hook and turns it into an empowering anthem that you would never expect to hear from what the original is. The best part though is the lyric, “I ain't plastic, call me classic,” that just represents this song perfectly.

Country music has an unmistakable charm that makes it instantly recognisable to anyone listening, Austin Burke has that charm but somehow manages to make it fresh to even casual fans of the genre. We all have that One Summer that we never really forget in our youth before we all realise we have to soon grow up and this track is the anthem for that fantastic time with Burke’s vocal guiding you through your memories and putting a smile on your face.

Female pop music has been going through a golden period as of late and it’s artists like LeyeT who’re the reason for this. Her latest track Let Me Know is about two friends who begin to realised that they might have feelings for each other but don’t know whether or not the feeling s are reciprocated and the journey that follows. With a triumphant hook, a breezy production that makes this track perfect for summer and a vocal that communicates the journey of these two friends effortlessly. Pop doesn’t get much better than this.

The previous two tracks COTIS released, All Night and Phone Light Up, developed a lot of excitement for future releases and his latest track Ride lives up to the hype and then some. There’s a carefree, youthful feel to this track that draws you in along with a dark melody with an infectious beat that gets your foot tapping and a seductive vocal that blends beautifully into the track.

If you’re looking for an authentic 80′s sound in the modern age then look no further than Duett and their new track Don’t Make Me Wait featuring Stewart Lockwood. There is something so authentic about this track that it feels like it came straight from the 80′s chart and when listen to it I feel the need to squeeze myself into lycra and get my hair (what’s left of it) permed.

The harmonies in this track are exquisite and the way FARR have made them an integrable part of Reversible. The chop between the solo vocal and luscious harmonies in the build up to the chorus left me in awe but then the chorus arrived I was floored. The best way of describing this track is that it’s like someone combined the modern R&B sound, old school gospel and a slick electronic production to create a cool contemporary track that leaves me absolutely speechless.

The vocal of Kwamie Liv is so lusciously smooth it’s hard not to fall in love of every single track she releases. Blasé is modern day love story with a shimmering production that creates majestic atmosphere that is then coated in an air of mystery that we’ve become accustomed to when hearing Kwamie Liv’s enigmatic music. A track that will leave an impression instantaneously and will have you begging for more.

Undecided is probably the perfect way you could describe this track by JEFFE as it’s a track that makes you want to go onto the dance like a maniac but also shut yourself into your room with this is playing full blast on the speakers. The offbeat nature mixed with the alluring vocals of JEFFE makes you zone out and forget about everything in the world until the track ends and you find yourself casually swaying or crying but don’t know why or how you started.

As I began to listen to Taking Me Over by OCNSIDE it began to give me flashbacks to one of my favourite artists, Billy Joel. The feel good nature of the track mixed with the uplifting chorus, the tight harmonies and a hook that you’ll be singing into the hairbrush later today just makes me think back to Joel’s classic Tell Her About It. Adore this track and know I’ll be singing this one in the shower for many days to come.

Mesmerising, euphoric, exhilarating, magical and angelic are only a few of works I can use to describe æmma and her stunning debut track House Of Hym. There’s an enchanting nature to this track that transports you to a fantasy land where mythical creatures roam in beautiful grass fields as you watch on in pure awe with the choir enhancing this feeling even more. A spectacular debut from an artist who knows how to capture magic and put it in a track.

I always say the most important track an artist has to release is their debut song and New Zealand based singer Siena Stone has made a huge impact with her debut Freewheeler. It’s one of those rare tracks that transports me to a whole new world with Siena’s vocal taking me on a magical journey with the luscious guitar enhancing the atmosphere until you feel like you’re not just listening to a song, instead you’re having an emotional journey with the song.
