He raises his eyebrow. Jongin agrees to his terms without giving much of a fight which is enough to tell him that he either doesn’t know what he is agreeing to or he simply wants that conversation to be over quickly. Kyungsoo could probably back him up on the second option, but the first sounds too real for him to ignore. He does his math rather quickly, he’s used to dealing with large sums (and so should Jongin, at least in Kyungsoo’s movie-fueled imagination where escorts are rich and swim around in a pool made out of money. Apparently, he had been wrong all along.)
“Two hundred and forty thousand won,” he says “That’s how much you’ll owe me.” He doesn’t ask if that’s manageable or not because he doesn’t care about that detail, he simply assumes it is because the deal has been agreed to and Kyungsoo may as well already be thinking about contract terms or something similar to secure their terms of the agreement.
“No one is good at just one thing and I’m sure you’re not an exception.” he doesn’t get the joke, obviously, he doesn’t even try to figure if that was actually a joke or not but he keeps going. He turns to Jongin. “How well can you run errands and follow orders while keeping your hands to yourself?”
“Ok.” Jongin agrees again, has a minimal notion of that amount even if he’s terrible at math and when he says notion, he only knows that it’s a lot of money and he’s probably indeed selling his soul to the devil to pay for it, but there he is and nothing can be done now. Jongin only needs to suck it up.
Jongin barely holds in the snort that threatens to slip out of his lips when D.O seems so sure that no one is only good at one thing. Oh well, he has never met Jongin, has he? Or at least if you count Jongin’s ablities in bed like his blowjob or flirting skills as separated things then well, Jongin is definitely very good at more than one thing ( but he puts all of them as the same thing because well they’re all about sex or are leading to sex anyway ). And, well, Jongin is the exception of a lot of things too like he’s the exception of his family, the only kid who had everything to work his life out but ended up in a mess anyway, the exception of his dance academy where once he was a prodigy, dancing being one thing that brought him joy until it didn’t anymore, until he felt so dirty that he was certain he wasn’t worthy of stepping on a stage ever again.
Jongin is always the exception, but never a good exception.
He also feels a little offended because it isn’t like he’d jump on D.O on every opportunity when he received a very solid no on his face — more than once at this point.
( Ok, granted that the strange man is indeed a very handsome person and everything. Of course Jongin isn’t made of steel so he might stare a bit sometimes but look at him, can anyone really judge him? And also he does have a little problem in controlling his flirting and—
Fine, maybe he has a point, whatever. )
“I admit I might end up flirting with you once or twice but it isn’t like I mean it, it’s just a reflex or whatever. I won’t jump you” Jongin ends up sounding a little defensive and he isn’t even sorry about it, but still controls the urge to cross his arms. Also a part of brain merrily adds only if you want to of course. “But I can do errands and follow orders just fine. If you don’t wanna me to touch you then I won’t. Simple as that.”
