Sir Frederick Gibberd's plan won. 👑It was said that his design 'powerfully expressed the kingship of Christ, because the whole building was conceived as a crown'. Nowadays only the crypt remains of his original plan. ☦ Lutyen’s design is known as the greatest building to never have been built.
