No, It’s Really Not a ‘Race to the Bottom’ on Redistricting

How interesting that for 20 years, while Republicans have systematically torn down the norms and rules that have governed America for 250 years, the political class, the press, and elected Democrats have all ignored it and simply accepted that this is how it’s going to be.

And look where that got us? Bush v. Gore, a stolen presidency. Trump’s endless assaults on the Constitutional order, supported and enabled by his entire party in Congress and in the SCOTUS majority. Yet another illegal, immoral, unnecessary war with no strategy or clear victory condition, started and supported by the same Republicans.

After 60 years of sternly-worded letters and furrowed brows while Republicans take a wrecking ball to America, some small number of Democrats are FINALLY fighting back in kind … and now it’s all too much? Now the political press, elected Republicans, and their propagandists in the media are suddenly deeply concerned about a race to the bottom?

GTFO you Quislings. You’re a huge part of this problem, and when we are finished saving America from Trump and Maga, don’t think we’re going to suddenly forget who helped them.
