Hii! I saw your post about being fluent in Korean and for a while now I’ve been wondering what the difference between 감사합니다 and 고마워요 is? :)

essentially theyre the same thing! 고마워요 kind of incorporates both informal and formal language, by adding the 요 (-yo) at the end. this can be used when trying to remain formal with someone you are familiar with. 감사합니다, on the other hand, is the purely formal way to say thank you, usually to adults or strangers :-) hope this helped!
