Incredibly disappointing but not too surprised about the outcome. It’s been a fantastic and exciting world cup for our Canadian team. I think a lot of people forget that this is only our 3rd world cup in history. We’ve played in 1986, 2022, and now 2026. Everything we have done is obviously something to be proud of and seen as an accomplishment.

This is the first time we have ever made it out of the group stages. We had a fantastic win over Qatar which was 6-0 and a miraculous win against South Africa down to stoppage time (1-0).

I think we played really well considering we played a team ranked 6th in the world. We also had a gnarly injury during the Qatar match and Alphonso Davies hasn’t been able to play up until the one against South Africa due to his recovery from injury as well.

In short, I’m super proud and stoked that I got to witness Canada play in the World Cup (from my TV screen, ha) and we can only come back stronger in future <33
