Random Dusekkar (forsaken, sadly) ramble cause I'm sick rn, I have no motivation to draw, I have no motivation to write my damn fanfic and I just really want to complain about Dusekkar cause hes my favourite and I want more of him.
I hate how underrated of a character Dusekkar is, not even just in Forsaken, but in roblox admin spaces in general. Main reason I'm still in the hellhole of Forsaken is because its the only game I'm currently aware of that not only has Dusekkar/Matt Dusek in it, but also gives him a little bit of attention. Which isn't much but I'm taking crumbs at this point. (Side note, if you know any other games with Matt Dusek in it PLEASE TELL ME, thank you :D)
What small scraps we have of Dusekkar's lore is interesting (I'm definitely biased but shush). Ignoring the milestones for a second, Dusekkar helped Shedletsky make the Illumina and was there for Shedletsky at this lowest point, has ties to respawning and doesn't like Two Time cause he knows more about it than most, has to cope with having all of his power taken from him. A friend of mine pointed out that a part of Jane's document about Dusekkar could be read as Dusekkar having chronic illness coding (I'm not chronically ill so I'm not gonna say much on that but hey, something to look at maybe). Speaking of Jane's document, it reveals that Dusekkar is quite bold when he gets comfortable with others and that he prefers to keep his struggles to himself, likely not liking when others worry about how hes doing.
I might be missing some stuff but what I have mentioned just goes to show that he does have interesting concepts that I wish were expanded on more but everyone just ignores Dusekkar and it upsets me.
Then theres the milestones, which probably aren't canon cause Chrisaken contradicts some of it (milestones not being canon is a dumb decision I think but whatever, its canon in my heart). Dusekkar's milestones expand on his friendship and dynamic with Shedletsky, showing that he is willing to die for Shedletsky, also acting as a foil to Two Time, with Dusekkar using the power of the spawn to sacrifice himself for Shedletsky while Two time sacrificing Azure for their own gain and for their devotion to spawn. I really like his milestone lore, I think theres a lot of interesting conclusions that could be made of them. Unfortunately, I rarely see anyone even mention it.
Really the only thing I don't like about Dusekkar's lore is how much of it revolves around Shedletsky. As much as I LOVE Shedletsky x Dusekkar, I want Dusekkar to have his own character rather than being reduced to "Shedletsky's friend", but granted, people already do that with Dusekkar and Taph (no hate to Dusetaph shippers, I am sometimes one of you, I'm just tired of seeing Dusekkar be reduced to "Taph's friend/partner and translator" in some stuff).
I could ramble for a lot longer about this topic but I'm already tired and idk if any of this makes sense anymore. Just pay more attention to Dusekkar, not even just in forsaken, please :D
