He smiled as he handed one pair of chopsticks to the girl and started eating with the other. After a few bites, he turned to the girl, wondering if she was liking the food. And by the way she was shoving down the food, she was liking her meal.
“So what’s your story?” he asked after finishing his bowl. “What do you do besides breaking in people’s houses and stealing stuff?” he chuckled, showing that he was only joking and wasn’t resentful at all.
Krystal nodded as she listened to Jinki speak. “Ah, that’s an interesting way of putting it,” She said, watching him cook. He was quite good at this cooking thing, and to be honest, she was a little jealous. She practically lived on preserved food and cans of food; they were the only thing that were portable and lasted for long amounts of time.
As he finished and handed her the bowl, she took it gratefully, flashing him a smile. She stared at it for a moment, inhaling the soft scent of delicious cooking. Krystal could hear Jinki looking around his kitchen to find something- perhaps a spoon or a fork. When he had finally found chopsticks, he handed her a pair, and she once again smiled at him in thanks. She started to eat, practically shoveling the food down her mouth. Her stomach grumbled, and she blushed in embarrassment. She hadn’t eat in a real meal in a few days, and right now, she just wanted to eat everything.
Krystal stopped long enough to swallow, having at least the decency to look embarrassed. She giggled, “You gotta live somehow!” She stuck her tongue out before clearing her throat, “Well, let’s just say I lost my family and was sent to an orphanage.” She shrugged, “I don’t really like to talk about my past, brings back... painful memories.” Krystal looked away for a moment, settling down her bowl and chopsticks.
“I think I should be getting back. I’ll send over the friend to fix your window, and thank you so much for the meal. Honestly, thanks for letting me live and have dinner with you.” She continued to speak as she started to make her way to her belongings, “Maybe in the future, we’ll be able to meet again.”
Picking up her bag and her weapons, she stepped onto the window sill. She turned to look at him over her shoulder, a small smile curving onto her lips. “Good-bye, and thank you.” She whispered, loud enough for him to here.
