hi peeps. so in light of the new employee layoff situation i’ve officially uninstalled fortnite and the epic games launcher from my pc. epic games is a shit company and i’m taking away my support. i can’t lie and say i won’t cave and check out ninjago wave 2 when it comes out but other than that i think i’m done for a while.
i’ve been losing interest in playing the game itself for a long time; c3s4 is where the first signs came along and i just couldn’t bring myself to play as often, and it slowly dwindled from there. i’ve had ups and downs, times where it caught my interest again and then it faded just as easily. i was genuinely so excited for the current season, it looked so exciting and promising and i was waiting for my squad to not be busy so we could check it out as usual, and today’s situation just sucked all of that away. when we fumbled our new years game tradition and jokingly swore off the game i genuinely didn’t think it would turn out like this
this blog has already been fairly inactive as of recently, maybe even the past year entirely, but i think it’s time to call it, more or less. there will still be occasional posts probably, mainly regarding my little storyverse and stuff i decide to scrape out of my docs (which is still filled to the brim with these stories). with this being said, i still care about certain aspects of the game itself. i love the silly little canon-divergent universe i built from the crumbs of the chapter 2 storyline and i still don’t think it’ll ever go away. i’m too stubborn to officially let go of The Tide Rises, but this also counts as an official announcement that i wouldn’t keep hope for consistent updates, considering i haven’t updated it recently in general. i think i might carry through with that plan of just dumping story outlines on the SoG blog as i feel like that, so that’s a strong maybe on looking out for that in the future.
my interests in general have also moved on. i’m heavy into ninjago dragons rising right now and that’s where most of my attention is currently diverted to (SEASON 4 SOON YAYAYAYYYAA) and i found another game which i am currently on a MAJOR high of (sky: children of the light my beloved, cozy grinding really is much more my style than competitive shooters i’m surprised i didn’t figure this out years ago).
thanks all for being around for my fortnite journey. the majority of it did get documented here, from little clips and reactions to seasonal reviews for a period, and of course the fandom aspect which i have and will always enjoy more than the actual game itself. since this is kind of a farewell i will leave my socials if you wanna see what i’m up to:
