Can we talk about this?

I was thinking about it recently and haven't been able to get it out of my head. Kuai said just a moment before we WOULD go back to the Netherrealm if they didn't hear from Hanzo. It's probably very troubling for him to be down there because he once was a revenant (and was probably stuck watching his actions without being able to do something about it or fight…maybe), and he was willing to go down there because he was worried about Hanzo. And then, scorpion showed up. Immediately “wrong scorpion, something is wrong”. Kuai left Hanzo because he trusted he would return.

Throughout Kuai's life, there was a thought of people will stay, but then they won't. First, it was his brother Bi-Han, then Smoke/Tomas, then his whole clan(from what I can tell). I feel so baddd

Now, to be fair, I haven't read the comics or played all the games, so I'm not terribly knowledgeable on their whole dynamics, but I definitely think this is such a touching, but cruel way to show they are close to each other.

And, to make it worse, in the mkx comics, Kuai Liang expresses some very clear distress at being the last Lin Kuei left, he's very self destructive while on the run from the cybers and since ha has no one to rely on, there's no one to pull him back

He also, in the mkx comics, is the one to destroy the cyber Lin Kuei, including Cyrax, who we know he was close with. So not only did he lose another friend, he essentially had to kill him.

So to lose Hanzo like that, after so many years of peace, would be devastating

remember when kuai liang went to go wipe out revenants and lost so much control that he killed the revenants, his clan and innocent people and was scared enough of himself that he made Hanzo promise him that if he lost control again that he would take him to the NetherRealm so he wouldnt be able to harm anyone else?

and then to basically save his adopted son kenshi so he summoned hanzo to collect him because he was gonna have to use his powers, and after the battle they went to rule the netherrealm together?
