i'm sure the fact that they're both very attractive doesn't hurt and i think they're an insane match for each other but honestly i also think they just put real work into being interested/showing interest in each other both as people and with attraction/sex. and i'm not saying work as in like ugh it's a slog it's a grind it's HARD but rather just being mindful and communicating and flirting and having fun. i don't think relationships are supposed to be hard in general but i do think they require effort as anything does and i think they're really good at that effort without it FEELING like it's difficult (most of the time. god knows any relationship can and will have difficult patches and subjects but even then i think they're also very conscientious about making sure they communicate through that stuff too.

i know i kinda derailed to talking about general relationship stuff but i guess sex is also that. i think it's all the same and all related and it's really cool that they're still so into each other after 16 years.

i absolutely agree. the number of times i've seen people pressured to get a partner and get married (and have kids) and be told either subconsciously or explicitly that happiness not only isn't a priority but isn't realistic is so sad. i love hearing dan and phil be so adamant that you should want to talk to your partner, you should be friends with your partner, you should want to hang out! because it's so true but also it's so sad that it even has to be said.
