Sometimes, hooking up with someone you just met can be a dangerous and unpredictable experience. Such is the case of 24-year-old Wayne Robinson, who met Dominique Fisher at a Blackpool nightclub. There, they drank vodka, took Valium, and had consensual sex. Wayne didn’t remember anything that happened after that, because he had passed out drunk. When he awoke, he was dripping with blood. His body was covered in cuts and other senseless patterns, and his sexual partner had carved her name, ‘’Dominique’’, into his flesh with a knife. Wayne immediately took a taxi back to his home and reported the incident to police. Dominique was found guilty of unlawful wounding and received a two-year community order, with a two-year supervision requirement. Meanwhile, Wayne will have to live the rest of his life with the name of his nightmarish hookup marring his skin.
