tabi dragged kukiko over to where gracie sat where they’d had their previous conversation. a slow, cat-like smile spread across her face. “hello, gracie. i’d like you to meet someone.

gracie wasn’t what kuki was expecting-- she was expecting someone who didn’t look like some sort of woodland nymph, maybe even a little more edgy. but she was cute, and she looked nervous. especially when she began to speak. despite the smile on the girl’s face, kukiko could see trepidation, as gracie stuck out her hand. “hello, nice to meet you!” squeaked the brunette. “my name is gracie.” 

kukiko glanced at tabi, and then the outstretched hand, and took it, shaking it. “kukiko,” she said, and a sly smile appeared on her face. she looked back up at tabi. “shall we?”

“maybe you’re just waxing philosophical aloud,” kukiko replied, sliding into the booth across from him. “maybe so. but why must there be some tragedy to eat ‘em?”

kukiko had to go to the hardware store to buy a new chain for her chainsaw, something she had been meaning to do for a couple days, perpetually putting it off until she managed to botch her own goddamn project. she was irate when she picked up the supplies, grumpy on the walk back to her apartment, even more so when she ran into a man, her purchase thudding to the ground. “excuse me,” she said pointedly. “watch where you’re going.” | @rhodestodublin

kukiko was having a smoke break in between practice, as she sat on the bench outside with a cigarette dangling from her lips. a fresh bruise was forming on her thigh from where she took a pretty nasty fall while skating-- she was still in her derby uniform, skates and all, when she caught sight of a familiar face. “well, eli honeychurch,” she said, emphasizing his name, as she took a drag of the cigarette. “fancy seeing you here.” | @wintergrccns

kukiko had been working on a ten foot sculpture for a good eleven hours straight when she realized she needed a beer. she was exhausted, covered in sawdust and had her safety glasses still perched on top of her head when she walked into the bar, catching addy. “hey, you guys got anything new on tap?” | @addymelrose

After everything that happened with Aurelia, Cam was visibly messed up everywhere he went. Not in the sense that he was on anything or that he was drunk- he was just sad. Still, he was skipping therapy and staying holed up in his room most days. Today, though, was a day he was forced to leave his suite to actually go get a decent meal instead of room service. “You know what, sometimes a guy just needs some pancakes.”

kukiko believed it was too early in the morning to deal with emotions. she wanted to drink her coffee and go about her work for the day. “yeah,” she replied, bluntly. “and you’re telling me this because?”

tabi scowled. “it’s not like i went up to her and asked her to join me for a threesome.” she gestured for a drink from the bartender. “c’mon, come meet her. you’ll like her, i swear.”

kukiko sighed, and rolled her eyes. “come on. take me to her, then,” she said. “i don’t have all day, tabs.”

Sometimes if I’m staying at my aunt’s she’ll curl up with me and it’s the greatest thing in the world.” Ethan offered a weird looking smile but he didn’t know quite what to do in situations like this but stand there awkwardly while a cute stranger pet Anna’s dog. “I used to think I was a cat guy until I met Creedence.”

“not to be dramatic or anything, but i would fucking die for creedence,” kukiko responded, still preoccupied with the big fluffy drooling pup in front of her. “god, animals are really better than people, aren’t they?” she asked, looking up at him finally. “can i rent this dog?”
