Saitou Yakumo from Psychic Detective Yakumo
ăčăâ
âOh, really? Looks like it is.â Upon knowing that the man didnât have any other option but to answer all of his inquiries Ranmaru kept on asking, perhaps to satiate his curiosity or perhaps just to have a nice time; you didnât see SaitĂ´ KumichĂ´ flustering this hard everyday.
Though now it seemed as though the topic turned to be something more important, at least for the KumichĂ´. âDo you mean thatâŚ.you know, it doesnât work?â His face, his expresion, quickly shifted in disbelieve, SaitĂ´ was still young, wasnât he? Plus only old men suffered fromâŚwell. One can easily tell.
âKumichĂ´, please if you need help this soldier is here to aid. I know some people that can make certain medicine to help you.â He only wanted the very best for the KumichĂ´.
[â] âSaitouâs eyes widened, heat blooming rapidly in his cheeks. He fought to dispel the expression as quickly as he could, but the hot blush remained. âIie,â he answered. âThere is no physical issue.â He was sure it worked. Even if he hadnât put it to that use yet, Saitou figured he would know if there was something wrong with that part of his body.
Medicines? No. No, he certainly didnât need any medicines. Did Honda genuinely believe he was being helpful or was he simply trying to get a rise out of the captain? In the end, it didnât matter. Saitouâs only wish was for the conversation to stop.
âWhatever my reasons, it is a personal affair,â he said pointedly, flicking a somewhat sharp, and rather icy, glance towards his comrade.
ăčăâ
Ah, but there was no way to explain with words how much Ranmaru enjoyed seeing the precious KumichĂ´ blushing. It was one of the greatest presents he could get, meaning that he probably touched a topic that SaitĂ´ did not enjoy to talk about at all. Such a sweet victory indeed.Â
âIt is just my honest and sincere need to aid my treasured KumichĂ´, even though I do not belong to your division. Itâs my duty after all.â But then Ranmaru realizes that his fun could cost him quite a lot and itâll be a better idea to leave the topic there. âSo, when are we moving to the temple?âÂ

âI see.â What a pity then. Ranmaru said as he shifted his eyes from the man in front of him to the ground and kicked a little rock near him. âCannot be helpedâŚI guess.â He lightly laughs to himself.
âHonda Ranmaru, nice to meet you.â So that was the one in charge of recruiting? Well, it was somehow unexpected but beggars cannot be choosers. However he did indeed expect of Hijikata to recognize his surname, hoping that it would be enough to credit him and his skills. Upon seeing the black haired man walking Ranmaru decided to follow him.  âI believe there arenât many people up for becoming part of the Roshigumi, hm?âA careless voice speaks.â  I meanâŚâ Then he lowers his tone,  almost whispering.  â⌠not like the organization is recognized by the DaimyĂ´ or the Shogun.â
Ranmaru in fact was showing his will to join them as a favor to the so called Roshigumi. âThough I found it interesting and thus I decided joining to the cause.â
The younger manâs name, despite carrying the status of a pureblood samurai, rolled right off the vice commanderâs back. He didnât care what the manâs name was, or anyone for that matter, whether farmer or samurai; what mattered was skill and dedication. Something about Ranmaru suggested to Hijikata that he was hoping his born samurai status would help him into the Roshigumi. He only hoped this assumption was wrong.
Hijikata continued walking towards the training grounds, relying on the sound of the other swordsmanâs footsteps to signify he was following along. He remained silent, feeling the scratch of irritation at the back of his neck as he listened to the young man speak. The older swordsman was accustomed to listening carefully to things whispered behind his back regularly, catching what Ranmaru had mumbled without trouble.
Pausing, he turned to face the new recruit and folded his arms over his chest. âLetâs get one thing clear. I donât give a shit if youâre a born samurai. If you have no intentions of dying for the Roshigumiâs cause, you donât belong here,â his gaze narrowed as he spoke, feeling the egoistical edge of the young manâs words and despising it. âThis isnât a game. Weâre not taking you in if youâre not serious.â
ăčăâ
Ranmaru idly walks, following Hijikata. He is definitely in no hurry. Then he abruptly stops his walk to listen what the other man had to say to him. His expression remains serene, but shortly after Hijikata finishes, what could be considered an inspirational speech, an empty smile plays on the corner of his lips.
âIâd kill for the Roshigumiâs cause.âÂ
And he never meant something as much as he did with that statement. âBelieve me, I wouldnât be risking my life because of nothing.â His hedonistic side was speaking now. He was there for the nasty part, for the one that stained oneâs clothes in a burgundy color. Ranmaru didnât enjoy much being the face of something, that did not give him much fun to enjoy.
âNowadays there isnât much i can do as a samurai, is it? Iâll gladly become part of such a noble cause.â His intention was to show how amiable he could be, even if it was faking it; but just a tiny bit. But, anyways, he was certain about his acceptance and warm welcoming to the Roshigumi.
OOC. I need some more threads here so please like this post for a starter!

[â] â Mates? Did Honda have no respect for the chain of command? It wasnât as if Saitou talked to, well, anyone about his personal feelings or affairs on a regular basis. Or at all, really.
And it seemed his comrade had no intentions of stopping.Â
The redness in Saitouâs cheeks deepened. âThat isâŚnot the reason.â He looked down at the now empty rice-bowl, trying to think of a way he could excuse himself subtly. But he had promised to practice with the other soldier. Hopefully the questions would end.
âIt is nothing of your concern.â
ăčăâ
âOh, really? Looks like it is.â Upon knowing that the man didnât have any other option but to answer all of his inquiries Ranmaru kept on asking, perhaps to satiate his curiosity or perhaps just to have a nice time; you didnât see SaitĂ´ KumichĂ´ flustering this hard everyday.
Though now it seemed as though the topic turned to be something more important, at least for the KumichĂ´. âDo you mean that....you know, it doesnât work?â His face, his expresion, quickly shifted in disbelieve, SaitĂ´ was still young, wasnât he? Plus only old men suffered from...well. One can easily tell.
âKumichĂ´, please if you need help this soldier is here to aid. I know some people that can make certain medicine to help you.â He only wanted the very best for the KumichĂ´.
âAh, souâŚâ Izumi scoffed, looking the man directly in the eye. She wasnât appreciating his attitude, so she would easily deliver it right back. Women like meâŚ? Her eyes narrowed; the more he became defensive about it, the more she wished to push the envelope with him. âIf you do not⌠see my appeal⌠then you⌠must have strange⌠tastes⌠correct?â she asked, smiling venomously.
How is it that once most men began talking with her, they felt the need to place their hands on their swords? Were they simply making due for the mean time? Were they trying to boast? The taiyuu didnât exactly sing praises for most of them, certainly not the small fry like that. Examining her nails, Izumi glanced up at him once again, grey eyes reflecting the skies at dawn, despite it being afternoon. âAnd⌠if I do not⌠moveâŚ?â she challenged. âAfter all⌠I am a lady⌠perhaps you⌠should move⌠for meâŚ?â
ăčăâ
He actually found amusing how just a few words could make the unwanted lady go mad. Though it didnât mean that he wanted her to stand there. âActually, I consider myself as the owner of a gifted sight and taste and I can tell that you, definitely, you  arenât reallyâŚ.pretty? yeah, thatâd be the most accurate word. I mean, thatâs alright we all come in different shapes and colors but I wouldnât pay a koban for you not even free. Like, I want to think I still own some decency; you see.â  He couldnât settle for so little.
Though at her next statement Ranmaru couldnât help but to shake his head, shrug and leave a deep sigh. Â He couldnât believe how someone like her could think so big of herself. âDemanding, arenât we? I would consider moving if this wasnât the headquarters of the Shinsengumi, if I wasnât one of their samurai and, maybe if you actually happened to look like a cute girl but.â He shrugs. âThat is not the case.â
For every âââ I get, my Museâs âDarkening Meterâ will rise by 10%, driving them more and more insane! If you get them to 100%, you get a small drabble of their final moments before being completely enveloped!
Saitou Yakumo
[â] â The meaning behind Hondaâs lewd gestures was unmistakable. A fresh wave of heat rushed over Saitou. His expression remained blank, despite the darkening of his cheeks. Cobalt eyes narrowed slightly. âIt is inappropriate to ask such a question.â Saitou was his superior, after all.
However, the captain realized that if he didnât answer the question, it would only goad on his comrade more. âNo. We have not.âÂ
ăčăâ
That was the reaction he sought.; SaitĂ´âs expression amused him to no end. Â âIt is not, weâre mates after all. You can ask me whenever you wish and Iâll be honest to you.â Maybe, that affirmation wasnât meant to be taken seriously.
âOhh? How so? I thought she was pretty. Donât you have some money saved, you can always rent a room, KumichĂ´.â
