I've been putting off compiling my Kumoricon pictures because I took so many but here are a few of my favorites:

a few things I have to note:

-the Look Outside Shadow had the most amazing and perfect head movements (and gave me a handful of candy)

-the Mouthwashing group gave me a tiny bottle of mouthwash

-Cease and Desist Nintendo guy was handing out cease and desist ribbons to Nintendo cosplayers

-that Hikaru spirit/demon/body horror effect was attached by a magnet on the wig and I thought that was super clever

Naruto Headcanons: Real-Life Geography

hello everyone! its been a minute so here's a little headcanon about the villages in naruto and what their equivalent on the world map would be. which region of the world catches each land's essence/vibe.

(keep in mind that the scale could be different and the lands in the naruto world could be smaller or bigger)

LAND OF FIRE : North States of the USA.

KONOHA : Replace NY by Tokyo (aesthetically)

We laready know The Land of Fire is giving USA (pic above). For its diversity, aesthetic and more. The north especiallly for its population density compared to the rest of the country and geopolitical importance.

LAND OF LIGHTNING : Southern States of the USA

KUMO : New Orleans

Kumo's is like Konoha's sister. The land of lightning covers the south of the USA for mainly its high black population/leadership while still being diverse. I see the high temperature of the region apply to the country of lighthinig because its a forest-less type of country without being a full blown desert.

LAND OF WIND : Syria + Iraq

SUNA : Damascus

Not only a huge part of the reigion is covered in desertic lands but many parts of both countries have the same color scheme as Suna portrayed in the show. Emphasis of an imposing with a spheric archetecturial elements.

LAND OF WATER/KIRI (+ LAND OF WAVES) : Combined the demography of Brazil and South East Asia and disperse them all over the S.E. Asians islands.

LAND OF EARTH : The USA’s Mountain States

IWA : Pheonix

Yeah where all the mountains are in the states and orange desert/grand canyon aesthetic. I put the whole region since the country of earth is very large but i dont think it would extend this large when i really think about it (maybe just Arizona and the 3 states surroinding it)

AME : Kowloon, The Walled City + vast fields

Ame has a very specific dystopian vibe that very few ctities of regions could ever capture but i really feel like the ''organized chaotic'' layout of Kowloon is the closest to it.

LAND OF WHIRLPOOL: Ireland

HEAR ME OUT! (Mention of the Uzumaki Clan's red hair, DISTANT relation to Konoha, History of conflict of discrimination (victim of))

high drama happening at my window today

duel citizenship chouchou.....her comparing notes with Shikadai (who ALSO has duel citezemship for Suna, though he doesn't visit as often) about their travels....inojon missing them and painting them little pictures of their adventures while waiting for them to come back.....ChouChou haivng a million and one questions for her parents about why things work one way in Konoha but another in Kumo.....Chouchou being treated like a little princess on her travels to Kumo cause her uncle Omoi (who threw the first punch for the first time EVER in many people's memory after someone said SOMETHING that Omoi refused to repeat and the offensive party was smart enough not to repreat) and uncleb (uncle B, who she wasn't introduced to until she has just started to read and didn't realize the B was his name. he found it hilarious and made a rap just for her <3). Chouchou 'rapping' after her introduction to B and somehow being better at it then him within a year despite being like 5 and Karui being VERY smug about it....chouchou forgetting to introduce herself with her last name sometimes in Konoha and getting mistaken as an orphan by some dumbass bullies at the playground who are about to initiate a life defining ass beating.
