The first five minutes is phenomenal. Yosuke Eguchi and Mackenyu carrying the burden of the Final on their shoulders since everything practically went downhill after that.

Heh I thought that Sojiro and Kenshin getting each other's back was pretty cool. Also loved how Misao kicked ass because I can't stand her in the manga!

My biggest disappointment in this film is Sanosuke Sagara. He was a truly useless, pitiful caricature and I love him in the manga :((

I was reminded of that Sojiro Seta’s fanart I drew for a friend (It was on paper and colored with Copic markers). 

I thought it’d be fun to see what I can come up with 20 years later, on digital and with my improved skills in the last few months.

It was quite a breeze, I didn’t have any major challenges to draw it. I remember that I was spending a lot of time on my paper fanart because I was afraid of screwing it up. I also was copying/reproducing every line according to the model as accurately as possible. 

With the new drawing on digital, I applied what I learned about anatomy (you can see the rough full body sketch in the timelapse below) and then I drew on top of it. Being able to adjust, correct and move things around on digital made it also much easier to go with broad strokes and then refining.
