In the last two years I’ve said four very final farewells to people I love fiercely. Four individuals who each taught me how to be a strong woman, a selfless friend, to have compassion, and to be fair & kind. Are they at peace? Did they have regrets? Where did they go? I wonder what they would think of me if they could see me right now.. Life has been untimely and unforgiving. Everyday I am stumbling around in the dark trying to find a way to deal with this loss, to find the lighter side of things. At times I do, or at least I think I do.. a brick wall facade so convincing that I believe it for fleeting moments. Tonight that wall is broken, its crumbled to pieces, and I am suffocating.
