Ezek a kis helyek 1-3 fő számára biztosítanának elvonulási lehetőséget. A rét 2/3-ánál a fairtás miatt keletkezett - mintegy 71 m hosszú nyílásba - kerül egy olyan alkotó tér, amelynek konkrét falai nincsenek, hanem lazán elszórt acél oszlopok adják a szerkezetét, melyek átmeneti tereket hoznak létre kint és bent között. A rét szélén kezdődő fapallókból álló út átvág a pavilonon is, igy kapcsolatot hoz létre az egyéni (izolált) és a közösségi (nyitott) alkotóhelyek között.

Total Electron Density in an Organic Crystal “The cool thing is that for some of the atoms you can see where the project augmented waves have left holes in the electron density. This is from the so called muffin-tin approximation, where the nuclear core and inner shell electrons are removed and replaced with a pseudo-potential.”

Bridge for Our Generation, Kazuhiro Ishii, Kanagawa, 1986
A building facade designed by 13 Japanese architects.
“A Bridge for Our Generation is my homage to our ideal city of today. Our generation has been playing a unique role in Japan. Each member is proud of his or her uniqueness and difference from the others. I have collected people and arranged them from top to bottom like competitors living together in one bridge, according to the Japanese alphabet. Included are Aida, Ando, Ishiyama, Ito, Takamatsu, Hasegawa, Zo, Yas (Kijima),Yoh, Rokkaku, Watanabe, and myself.”
(Takefumi Aida).

“We wish to understand how patterns of gene activity in biological organs influence the developing shape. Our suggestion is that genes may regulate growth direction independently of growth rate. We formalised our ideas in the Growing Polarised Tissue Framework.“
