This is the geisha avatar くversion of my header photo. It illustrates the song 'A doll on the nose' which heavily relies on the visual imagery of WW2 nose cone art. The song's written from the perspective of the David Niven character in the Powell/Pressburger movie, 'A matter of life and death'. That kind of stoic, bruised wartime romanticicism was a strong theme running through 'Skyhorse' - elsewhere there are references to the film Casablanca. The Gil Elvgren style images also feed into that, I guess. They look very tame now, but I find them sweet and incredibly sexy. There's a naivety and innocence in them that I find very touching in today's incredibly cynical, blase and know-it-all world. You can hear the track here:

More artwork from the Skyhorse deluxe booklet. This is for a song called 'Dance like 1976', so I wanted a very 70s disco look to match the feel of the song. The AI kindly gave me what look like either satin or see through pants which are just what I wanted! Sometimes I think it can read my mind...

More artwork from the booklet for the Deluxe Edition of 'Skyhorse'. I was inspired by the kind of artwork they used to put on the nose cones of WW2 bombers - kind of a 'beauty and the beast' thing, I guess. To that end, I took a lot of inspiration from the artist Gil Elvgren who painted the most beautiful portraits of pinup girls in the post-war era. This particular example is AI generated and features the geisha くavatar. I luv changing how I look and the new technology allows me to transform myself in incredible new ways!
