About a minor change to one of Ais' line that I wish they'd left it as it was🚶...

Just want to talk abt it because it's been bothering me a bit. (warning; it kinda long..I didn't mean it......)

In previous version, when MC said smth a long the lines; Ais threatened them and had the gal to kick them out just so he could go drinking, he'd reply with this:

but in this update they changed to this :

Which at first, I found it..cute..like, ohoh~ he's being being flirty with me now, so much so that I shamelessly got off my chair, giggling and kicking my feet and all. Because again, it was cute.

But then I realized that- oh.. they took the 'I was lonely' line which- honestly...makes me sad. Because that single completely changed my perspective on what kind of person- monster Ais is.

It's the second thing that made me go 'awwhh...' and at that point I started to have a soft spot for him. (The first one was obviously how soft he is towards princess *sobss*)

The line is so short and simple, you could easily brush it off. But to me it says a lot about him.

I played this game completely blind at first. I didn't know a single thing about it, or Ais. (Mind you I played before RSS drop the lore abt Ais and his gang) So it caught me off guard a bit that this big scary demon guy, also a gang leader, who threatened me with his soulless + with whatever tantacles thing he had going on in the background hours ago is...lonely? Why would he be lonely when he has his own people. No way his gang took a walk that long, right? Why didn't he have his gang at the bar, drinking with him?

These question kept playing in my head. So I did some digging, maybe I could find answers; he dislike isolation, his flower is Red Spider Lily which symbolizes Mourning, goodbyes and lost memories. In his character summery said smth like; "...he was once a seasoned leader, but now he's alone...".

So all of these made sense a bit of why he might be lonely. Then RSS finally dropped the lore oh what happened to his people. It still doesn't answer much but I think we all kind of get the idea now.

Okay now I think I’m already starting to blabber goodness gracious. What my point is that, I much prefer the original line; it kind of gives a hint to the player abt who Ais is (welp not a lot, but yknow). He's not just some big scary dude that smashing ppl's skull, but there's something going on with him that make us think. I think it’s a great detail to include in the demo/prologue. It makes you more curious and question more about the character. Than just simply flirt with you. Which still, idm but nyeh yknow ajdgjsjs

But yeah this. This is what I feel. And it's already that time where I'm gonna put my head on a pillow and hopefully I don't cry myslef to sleep thinking about this.

Or maybe this whole thing its just me *shrugs*

I legit woke up in a cold sweat because something just hit me. At the beginning of the game we have zero idea how long we were unconscious while in Kuras' care, and he is powerful enough to reattach limbs. Which means this man could have done any number of things to us and we'd have no idea.

I'm confident that the only reason there are stitches on our arm is because he knew it'd be too suspicious for us to wake up with no sign of injury. Which means he had who knows how long to inspect our hands, investigate what we are, experiment on us, take samples if he wanted, and then heal any evidence away with nary a scratch to tip us off.

He brushes off the whole "fascinating patient" comment, but it clearly stems from something he realized/discovered about us. What did he find out and how? Leander got to experience our curse through touch, and Vere likely smelled something deeper about it off of us, but Kuras has already gotten the chance to study it, via methods I can't even imagine. And I'm not sure I want to know what he's about to do with what he learned.

oh my goodness ais . he respects you and wants you to make your own decision about the seaspring. even if he has his own strong opinions, all he can do is inform you and trust your choice. but like... a scenario where he cares for you so much and tensions are so high that he actually gets frustrated or angry when you say you still want to drink from it . especially if we find out his own consequences are super dire and he wants to keep you safe ...

and it's weird in a way because he doesn't. get mad at you. he's never been angry with you. so to hear him raise his voice makes it so obvious how different this (you) are for him . I am so cooked
