𝙺𝚊𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝙴𝚕𝚒𝚣𝚊𝚋𝚎𝚝𝚑 𝙱𝚒𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚙 | 𝙳𝚎𝚌𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛 𝟹𝟷𝚜𝚝, 𝟷𝟿𝟿𝟻 | 𝙷𝚊𝚠𝚔𝚎𝚢𝚎
𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚎𝚎 𝙸'𝚖 𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚙𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚜 𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 ?
let’s see, where to start - well, the beginning’s shitty, middle’s not much better, and we haven’t reached the end just yet. so i guess we’ll just hit the “important” points, fill in the rest later:
➼ Kate. Not Katherine, not Katie, not Kat, just Kate. ➼ Comes from a wealthy family, and if she was guessing at least half the money in her dad’s accounts is dirty. ➼ She lost her mother when she was a child. Used to idolize her dad, and even when she grew out of that she had still been trying to win his affection. Was almost always at odds with her older sister. ➼ Something happened to her as a teenager that turned her away from ballet and music, instead choosing to pursue various forms self-defense and boxing lessons. She’s never told anyone what happened. ➼ She met and saved Clint Barton at a wedding, having picked up his bow and joining in the fighting - in spite of people urging her to stay out of it. ➼ Kate has photographic reflexes/memory, allowing her to quickly grasp new skills and adapt her fighting style to those she’s going against. ➼ She trained with Clint, and occasionally others, before eventually joining SHIELD. ➼ Went on various missions, most often with Clint, during her time with SHIELD. Befriended some robo-dinosaurs, ran into Deadpool, y’know.. the usual. ➼ She was kidnapped and held by HYDRA for a few years. During that time she was lured into a false sense of security with Sin Schmidt, the woman seemingly kind to her while others were decidedly not kind. ➼ Kate learned of her father’s involvement with HYDRA while she was being held. ➼ She got out when HYDRA fell and Zemo was killed. ➼ She attempted to follow Clint when he disappeared. ➼ When she was unable to catch up to Clint she instead got herself a place in L.A. and opened up a private investigation practice. She was going by an alias after refusing to sign the SHPA, though since returning to New York she’s seen no reason to try to keep the alias up. ➼ Kate kept in touch with a handful of people from back home - as much as she wanted a clean slate when starting fresh in LA, she couldn’t bring herself to cut the people she’d come to love from her life. ➼ She’s made many contacts, and had feelers out for any sign of Clint - though she never told anyone who she was looking for, just a description and an example of what activity to look for. ➼ Came back to New York when she caught wind that he might be there, has been here since. ➼ Got a decent apartment for herself and her dog, plus the stray cat she lets in through the window. ➼ Hasn’t spoken with her father since the mess with HYDRA, has spoken to her sister maybe three times. ➼ Does still have access to her dad’s accounts, uses his money from time to time just to see if he’ll kick her off.
