no, it's this blog that makes me frown. do you realise that this blog will be deleted if anyone ever contacted tumblr about it? because posting people's names in a negative way is against the tumblr's rules. did you also know that every one has their own morals and own decisions, wherever they want to edit or not and you guys going against people's decisions is just completely immature.

So does your going against our decision make you immature too?

Did you know that you can be reported too for stealing other people’s work to make as your own? Because those photographs that are being taken have a creative license on them. Same goes for reposts.

I was blocking/ignoring people on the reposters list, but one of them (zelohyung) seems to have moved blogs and stopped reposting... but I'm not totally sure. Could you guys look into it? ; v;

Can the people who post fan art without the artist's permission be listed as well? Crediting or not, I think posting someone's fan art on tumblr without permission is just plain wrong. It's stealing. I've seen artists remove their work from their original source because of this. It's been happening more and more recently and it needs to stop. The artists take their precious time creating their pieces and it irritates me to see their works being plastered on this site without their permission.

That certainly counts as reposting so of course they should be listed.

Do you focus on bloggers who promote themselves on people's posts and change the source to their blog as well?

For now we're focusing on reposters or fansite editors. We do know that are some bloggers who are like that and if you would like, you can submit in their url.

Instead of trying to reason with ignorant people that enjoy stealing the work of photographers. You should just go ahead and continue putting the spotlight on these shameful individuals. Like tumblr user 'wufun' for example. Despicable way of cropping out watermark, basic editing, it's just ... so disrespectful how they don't source the artist.

We are currently searching for editors and croppers, thank you for this message. Everything about stealing or making it their own is disrespectful and is a really, really awful thing to do. We agree it is disrespectful and we're here to help, we will contact the person thank you.

I support you! I don't understand with some people who said make a gif or edit fantaken photos are okay when the fansites said do not edit D8 You people have no rights to do that. Ungrateful people. Like when someone show you their dress but not allow you to touch it, you still touch it because it's not illegal? Fansites are kind enough let us to see our idols through their photos so can you just respect their rules? -_-

It's really frustrating to see fansites close just because some fans won't listen to their one simple rule of no secondary processing. It's sad to see fansites close down due to some fans who knowingly decide to ignore their rules.

Even if they do, we'll probably find them again and tell the the same thing.

This blog is a blog. A joke is supposed to be funny, I don't see how this blog, which is a blog is a joke 'cause it's not funny. And no one actually cares about the editors/gifers you say? I bet you also believe that only white swans exists in this world based on the assumption that you've only ever seen a white swan before. Don't suggest I am being disrespectful of those who take photos or make gifs, I just don't think they should be treated like gods when what they're doing is possible by anyone who has a camera and the right software. I wouldn't do it full stop, but others would because they don't have to face the people who they've taken from - you sound intelligent, does the reasons for this have to be explained? (3 of 3)

It depends solely on what copyright rules you're referring to seeing as copyrights are territorial. There is however an international copyright agreement which provides protection automatically for all creative work as soon as they're fixed in a medium. They don't need to actually copyright it through all the legal processes 'cause a photograph or an edit is saved on a computer which is a fixed medium and therefore meets the requirement for copyright protection. So editors and whatnot, come back in 50 years and then you can actually edit that darn photo you're dying to edit.

When it comes to the part about the fanpages doing something, let me ask you something. You reckon that downloading movies and music is illegal right? The artists and makers of these movies lose lots of money because of downloaders, then why haven't they done anything about it? Because there's too many who downloads and I'm pretty sure there's not enough jails in this world to lock them up anyways. Closing down their fanpages IS actually them doing something about the problem, and it's depressing to say this but shutting down the website is actually the best way to handle this situation. You can't steal something which isn't available to you anymore.

And no we're not saying that legal issues are more important than the moral issues either, but when people fail to follow the moral laws the legal laws is the only thing we can bring to the table. I'm not the one who should have to tell people what moral value is, and neither should I have to be the one to tell people what they're doing is wrong. There IS in fact laws for it and they should also know what's morally acceptable of them to do, some people however fail to do so, which is why we're taking it upon ourselves to help them understand that what they're doing is wrong.

And no one is treating gifmakers or photographers as gods. I was actually gonna end this pretty nicely, but then you commented on how "intelligent" we sound and should therefore have a brain big enough to understand this without an explanation, I changed my mind. No more being nice 'cause you should be intelligent enough to understand this without me having to sugar-coat it in pretty words for you. I want you to tell me why you don't understand something as logical as the fact that NO, not everyone can do what they're doing. You wanna tell me that you can go outside right now and take a picture of your bias and then edit it in the "right" software and make it look decent? Well I'm not gonna hate on your photographing skills and neither am I gonna hate on whatever softwares you have on your computer but you might wanna take a look outside your window and tell me if you can actually see your bias? OH HUSTON LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A PROBLEM. There is no bias outside your window 'cause they live in narnia while you live on earth. Second of all: gifmakers, not saying everyone can't do what they're doing, sure you can make a gif, but why should you when there's already 100 of the same gif out anyways, so you might as well…what, take it? really? so taking it is the way to go? What about that pretty little reblog button? Shouldn't that be used for something? I don't understand why someone have the need to take one of those 100 gifs, and repost it as their own. Can't you just click that fucking reblog button? Isn't that easier? And when it comes to editing. No. Just no. Photoshop have been my best friend since I was 11. So no, you can't just do whatever it is I do on a daily basis because you own the "right" software. IT'S CALLED TALENT, AND YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT. In my case, that's almost 10 years of my life. But seriously though, you sound like a smart person, why is this so hard to understand?
