     the two of them are opposites, contradicting each other in the way that one flows, whilst the other takes snapshots of people who do yet somehow they happened upon each other and that was all that had been necessary. it had started out in a way that was unknown to the world at first– a korean alphabet textbook tucked in between the two foreigners when felix would read out to june, the lull of a voice early in the mornings, developing into a head resting on shoulder, unplanned visits to the dance practice rooms with a sheepish look and camera in hand.

     “ i’m out to steal your position as king of dance. ” is the only reply he gives, grinning at them as he starts opening a packet of chips. technically– TECHNICALLY– they’re for june, but felix is a film student and apparently perpetually hungry even if he just had lunch so he’s sure the other can understand. “ you’re spending so much time practicing nowadays. i thought you’d– uh, be a bit drained. there’s vitamin packets and energy drinks if you want some. ”

maybe that is why the two get along so well - they are not too different or too similar enough to clash. it’s something june appreciates a lot though, felix is a different set of eyes in their life. even though the two had first met over korean tutoring, it had evolved into a closer friendship that the dancer couldn’t have even asked for. felix was one of the people who checked in on them, made sure they weren’t spending too much time dancing or something.

“ah-- who said i was king of dance? did you just make that up just now?” june grins a little. “those are fighting words, you know. might have to take more of your chips for that.” they didn’t really care if felix eats more of the chips - since he bought them and all. laughing a little nervously, they turned towards him. “ah, yeah. i really should be trying to study or relax or something... but it’s been really hard to pull myself out of here...” the last sentence was a little quieter. “thank you, it means a lot.” their face brightens at their friend’s kindness. “what have you been up to today?”
