"Unnie!" Jihyo called out to the older girl from the other table in the cafeteria. It had been a while since she last saw Areum on campus, and the timing couldn't be more perfect. It was lunch time, and JIhyo could use some company. "Can I join you? I haven't seen you for a while now!" Before the other girl could even answer, though, the freshman was gathering up her lunch tray and headed Areum's way.

Feeling lonely since one of her best friend weren’t able to spend lunch with her today, Areum had been sulking over that matter for the past few minutes while grabbing herself a lunch at the school cafeteria. Upon hearing a familiar voice, she finally cleared her current thoughts and looked up from her plate. “Oh? Jihyo ah!” Turning her head towards the source of the calling voice, the female smiled brightly at the other. “Of course, of course. Nothing makes me more happy than receiving some company.” Areum said as she happily patted the spot in front of her. “It’s been a while indeed! How have you been?”

He smiled widely as he stood in front of her. She began to speak and he chuckled at her confusion. What he did not expect, though, was a pinch to the cheek. He jumped back and held his face in his hands. “Ouch! What was that for?” He gave her the saddest puppy dog eyes that he could to make her feel bad. He couldn’t fathom why she would pinch him. “It’s me. Jungkook!” He faked a sniffle. “Don’t you remember me?”

“Sorry!” She rubbed the nape of her head in embarrassment. After the other had confirmed his identity, she answered his question with nods and chuckled at his expression. “Of course I remember you! I just didn’t expect to see you here... But I mean, who doesn’t know you?” Areum lightly laughed. It wasn’t an everyday thing to see an idol in the public and especially a popular one. “Did you have schedules near by?”

He pouts a bit, looking down at the ground. Of course he had something to be sorry about. The flowers that the girl had been carrying were now a disarray of petals at his feet. “It’s my fault; I bumped into you.” He sighed, exasperated. “Where did you get them? I’ll buy you new ones.”

“It’s alright really.” Areum displayed a smile on her face in hope that it would make the other feel less bad about the accident. After all it wasn’t something that was done on purpose by the male and things like that could happen too, she thought. “No need to spend more money. Some of the flowers can still be used.”

“of course not! you can never be too old for cheesy jokes.” the words escape his lips in a melodic slur. “i lost your number, can i have mine?–no, no, that’s not it. can i have–” he tries to repeat the pick-up line correctly but erupts into a fit of drunken giggles–interrupted every few seconds with a hiccup–before he can finish. 

Resting her cheek on the palm of her hand as Areum continued listening to his cheesy jokes, she lightly shook her head and laughed. “It’s the other way around oppa.” She let out another soft chuckle at his following attempts before he got it right. “Someone might actually give their number to you if you say it that way, because they’ll find you cute.” The freelancer smiled at him while pouring the other a refill of the drink.

Suddenly receiving a CD case from her friend, the female smiled as she looked down at her hands to check what it was. “For me– Wait. Is this the album?!” Areum covered her mouth in surprise and gaped at the cover of the album. “How pretty and exciting!”

The artist blinked a few times in confusion at the other female’s question and stared back at her drawing again. No one had ever guessed the subject of her doodles wrong and she was relatively good at drawing too. So it resulted to Areum to be surprised by the inquiry and to start doubting her skills. “No, It’s a dog… A dalmatian specifically!” The student nodded before holding the paper away from her so she could get the far view of it. “Does it look that much like a cow?”

          “no, no.” haeun picked up the bowl, wrapping her arm around the lip and tucking it closer to her body. “i’ll get it myself. i need to move or else my skin is going to attach itself to the couch.” she retreated around the back of the piece of leather furniture, leaning over the edge to scratch behind the cats ears. she smiled softly, standing up straight and calling over her shoulder to the other girl as she approached the kitchen. “plus, i’ve already seen this movie. the ending it the worst part.”

“Me too, we’ve been sitting for hours without getting up.” Areum nodded in accordance and stretched out her limbs on the couch. “Do you want to take a walk or eat out after the movie?” The freelancer suggested as she put the cat over her lap to pet it in midst of watching. Exchanging looks with her friend and back at the screen quickly while alternating, she gently stroke the pet’s fur. “What do you mean by the worst?” Her eyes widened in horror, reacting to the other’s revelation while letting a light gasp. “Does something really bad happen? Or do you mean it’s not a good ending?”

This week is my last week of the semester therefore I am very busy with my final assignments and tests and I will not be able to provide you replies until after.
