   --- There was one thing that could always be said of Luffy and his crew as a whole, they did always make the fishman feel welcome in one way or another. Today was to be in no way different. His company on this mostly fine day was to be no other than the ship's botanist, a young woman with whom he hadn’t spoken much but one that he believed he’d rather enjoy getting to know at least a little better.

“Ah, worry not, Camilla-chan, I never do,“ He responded, looking down on the smaller woman. A warm smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

I am NOT completely up to date with the manga. I’ve not been following it since mid-August. I am in the process of playing catch up in the moments that I can (on the bus to and from work mostly) So if I get a few things wrong with Jinbei’s relationship with muses that appear in the later chapters, please forgive me xD

Didn’t log in here last night after D&D because of the excitement of something that happened there last night (In that my character is going to have someone who she mentors who I have decided will be her adoptive daughter who I am also going to be playing as in September when my DM has written and is able to start his new campaign :D. So I spent time rolling and thinking about this new character instead :x) Well, that and I was still very much in the mindset of my very small neutral evil assassin so... Kinda not how you want to be writing this muse

   — Seldom was it that there wasn’t some kind of calamity that hadn’t befallen them upon his arrival back at what was considered the base of operations. The biggest of all being those of a certain someone’s tantrums. Of course, everyone knew how to stop them, and most were quite capable of doing so without there having been too much damage dealt on the islands as a whole. 

But sometimes this just wasn’t to be the case.

It was in these moments that there were those who would step in. After all, there were but a few only capable of procuring certain items or ingredients needed. And this? Well, this was one of those times.

As it were, both he and Katakuri had been in approximately the same location and had, consequently, been able to hear some of the commotion as it approached. Of course, it came as little surprise when the other male stood from where he had been seated first, his back to the somewhat smaller Fishman. 

There was little between the pair. Sure, they may have been on an alliance, may have even spoken on things from time to time, but to say there was any kind of meaningful relationship? Likely not. It was for this reason that when he stood he hadn’t been surprised in the slightest when the taller had spoken so gruffly.“As you wish,“

 @devilslcg Ariel is legit an angel. She’s so lovely and understanding with everything that a mun goes through which is hard to fine. I give her props for waiting for me for a long time to reply to our threads and asks. Not only is she a sweetheart, but she’s a dork. I love her a lot for that. T^T

The weather had taken a surprising turn for the worst, it would seem. Now, this really wasn’t anything that truthfully bothered the male. After all, what kind of fishman would he be if he allowed a little water to bother him, right? But the same wasn’t to be said of those not from the sea like he. Peering down at the voice beside him, he had to wonder just why so many humans seemed to be drawn to his presence. Sure, his status as a former member of the shichibukai often brought about a level of attention that came simply from that title alone. That was inevitable but it often caused people to keep their distance as well. Well, that and the mere fact that he was what he was. Humans often didn’t find themselves consorting with fishmen, after all.

Jinbei looked out from their quickly sought out shelter. He had to agree there was a chill to the air, now that she mentioned it, though to his thicker skin it wasn’t uncomfortable. A small hum resounded in his throat, but still he said nothing. As it was, actions often spoke louder than words. In one motion he had swept off his coat and held it out to the much smaller woman.
