Anathema slowly nodded along as the other spoke, sniffling softly.

“Okay..” He nuzzled Robert gently, taking the other’s hands and moving to sit down.

“I’ll tell you anything you don’t know about me, too..”

Robert sighs, moving with Anathema, towards the couch. Sinking into it, still holding the others hand as he refused to let it go. Threading their fingers as he nods,

”Okay, okay…” He looks up at the other with wide mismatched eyes, “… I’m an ancient alien.” There we go, like a Band-Aid, right? “I was born in a void outside of this planets known space and lived there for so long, and I came down to earth before humans were even anything… and um, well, I’m here now.”

“Do… you have any questions?” @kxngandlxonheart

Anathema sat close to Robert, looking at him with wide eyes, which only got wider at the confession.

"You're..an alien?" Was his only question, his head tilting a bit.

"Well..if I knew that, I wouldn't have gotten so worked up about you hurting people.." He frowned.

Anathema slowly pressed their foreheads together, sniffing softly and holding his lover’s face in his hands gently. He..hated that Robert was crying, hated that he was a part of the reason why..but this was important.

“I want to know you..you don’t have to lie to me..” He moved to brush a tear from Robert’s face.

“I just want to trust you..I wanna know you won’t lie to me or hurt me..I wanna know who you are..” He felt tears gently running down his own face as he stared into his lover’s eyes.

Robert lets out a shaky breath when their forehead touch, his eyes falling to the ground. His big hands curling against the other, clinging to him as he listened him speak. Licking at his lips a bit, he squeezes his eyes shut, his stomach twisting angrily with nerves.

”Aside from my food habits, I never lied to you. But, okay, yes, I’ll tell you any thing you want to know. Let us, uh, sit down and I’ll start…” He blinks, his eyes looking back up at the other, meeting his gaze. Fingers moving to wipe them from his face now as well. @kxngandlxonheart​

Anathema wasn’t used to Robert acting like this. The way he..looked away, seemed dejected- it was different. He could tell Robert was being genuine in the moment, that this really was troubling him-

Anathema clutched his shirt on his fist, eyes teary as Robert turned away and kept speaking.

“Ro-” He was cut off when Robert whipped back around, his whole demeanor softening.

He..He understood. It hurt, but-

He reached out, touching Robert’s face.

“Robert..” He whispered shakily, but this time it wasn’t angry. It was softer. “You wouldn’t lose me..if you had just told me..” He looked away for a moment. “It would’ve at least gone better than me finding out on my own..”

Robert’s eyes water up when Anathema, touches his face gently. His head sinking down into the other palms immediately, trying to find comfort in them. Even if there was a part of him that didn’t think he deserved it, and that smaller part of himself just didn’t care as long as  Anathema, wasn’t running away screaming.

Big mismatched eyes looking up at him as he speaks, “You don’t understand, I’m not normal, and I never been with someone, the way I am with you. My only concern was…” He shrugs, looking down, causing the tears roll from his eyes over his pale cheeks.

       ”… I should have told you. But then, I’d have everything.” He sighs, licking at his chapped lips for a momnet, “If you want to know.” @kxngandlxonheart​

Sure, Anathema was flinching at every shout- every movement- but he wasn’t scared at the moment. It was more of..instinct.

“Don’t you think it’d be less scary if you told me up front, than risk me finding out later like this??” Anathema sniffled, glaring at Robert.

“Some secrets are okay, but this-” Anathema took a deep, shaky breath.

“Robert-” Shit, there it is. Anathema used his name. Anathema didnt use names- ever.

“How long were you expecting this to stay hidden?? I know I’m stupid, but not that stupid!!”

It was Robert’s, turn to flinch when Anathema, used his name. Half turning away from the other as if he had just been slapped, the frown on his lips deepening as he lowers his gaze. Which was an odd display for Robert, who naturally held eye contact and didn’t back away from anything or anyone.

”I don’t know, I didn’t think that far ahead. When I started lying it was just… I didn’t really care that much I was just curious about you…” He blinks, shaking his head and turning his back on the other as his hands brush through his hair, messing it up a bit.

”… it was never about you being stupid, you’re not stupid!” He waves his hand as if hitting away the very idea that Anathema, could be stupid. Whipping around to face the other again, “I fell in love with you, I wasn’t supposed. And I knew if I told you, you’d leave. and I… I can’t lose you.” He sighs,

They’d never fought before, especially not like this. Anathema wasn’t one to get angry very easily, but..

He couldn’t help but flinch when the other pointed at him, but he simply stomped his foot back.

“Because!” He shouts then stops, swallowing back another bout of anger before he lets a breath out through his nose, “Because I was afraid.” He admits, his tone still aggressive, his teeth bared a bit as spoke. It wasn’t meant to be a scare tactic, it was more of a defensive thing. 

Robert had known from the momnet he realized he wanted the other company, that he had to lie. There was no way someone as soft as them would care for Robert, if he knew.

Robert frowns, “I kill to survive, if you don’t like it, then you can fuck off.” He points at the other, then motions off to the side angrily. Not sure if he actually upset at them, or the fact that he hated how his ears started to burn from embarrassment of being talked to that way by them.

Anathema tried his best to breathe, whimpering loudly and trying to move.

"It hurts..my legs.."

“Here- take my hand...” he reaches a tiny hand through the bars, that very same hand emitting a healing aura. “I’ve almost got it..”

Anathema's poor legs had to be damaged at least a little bit..they had been scrunched up for..hours? Days? He couldn't tell..

He had various injuries all over the rest of his body, as well..and looked like he'd been thrown into dirt at some point-

"Please.." Anathema grabbed onto Sham's hand quickly.

Anathema smiled brightly, gently scratching behind Cassandra’s ears. He seemed to be in awe by the cat, his shoulders pushed up a little.

“Theyre blue!” He looked back at Bandit to make the comment.

the cat seems intrigued by this stranger, but that seems to be her default. humans were a strange bunch, naked and unable to crunch a shrew’s bones. she supposed she could feed this one too.

“… a lot of cat breeds are ‘blue’. or lilac, lilac’s a cool coat.”

Anathema definitely appeared to be human, other than his sharp teeth.

He was clearly infatuated by the cat, rubbing all over her face and grinning at her.

"What a pretty kitty you are..did you know you're the prettiest kitty?" He cooed, scratching under her chin.

"Lilac is one of my favorite colors!"

“Aww..that sucks!” Anathema looked a little sad for the other, despite not knowing whether or not moving a lot was a bad thing for them.

“Cassandra..” Anathema turned around, gasping softly.

“Oh, hi!” Anathema knelt down and held his hand out to the cat slowly.

“Mm..okay! A Russian Blue!”

bandit’s more relieved that the attention is finally off of them. shoulders droop and the wolf relaxes as the other’s back is turned.

cassandra has an energy to her, something a little too human to be comfortable for most. but her piercing stare is friendly, somehow, and she pads closer to the stranger, extending her head to allow a scratch behind the ears.

“ for a cat breed? yeah they’re pretty cool.”

“Really? What’s their name? Can I meet them?!” He was quick to excitement, quite like a puppy.

“I want a lion!” Not plausible.

“moved a lot.” bandit answers quickly, the default response. when there was a sense of stability, bandit didn’t have anyone to take care of a pet while away. a pet wasn’t important to their family.

“her name is cassandra. she’s behind you.” and it’s true. the lykoi cat sits behind the other, cleaning her paws.

“think a bit more realistic. lions aren’t legal pets, nor are they ideal.”

“Oh! I know! I’ll get a cat! Cats are god at watching houses!” He gave a wiggling motion, seeming excited now. Well, at least he’d have Puppy with him. Despite how he acted, he was amazing at taking care of animals, anyways. So- a cat would be in good company with him.

“ they could be. i wasn’t allowed to own fish.”

bandit shrugs. “ cats are pretty cool. i got one that travels with me.” just simple conversation, bandit was sure they could do that. they were TRYING, at least. “ i think it depends on what you’re looking for?”

Puppy was definitely the type of service animal that was meant to be with you at all times- She was meant to keep Anathema from low blood sugar attacks, and also to keep Anathema from doing things such as..walking into traffic or following people with unfamiliar or dangerous scents.

“Uhm..I guess so. Who’s going to watch the house if she comes with me, though?” Anathema seemed genuinely confused, a frown on his face.

this is getting less funny and more distressing to the young wolf. someone needed to get their shit together and for once it wasn’t bandit, which is saying something.

“… you… need her with you, though? get a fish if you need something to watch the house.”
