Isaac’s fingers flowed over the keys with ease as he typed word after word, his eyes glued to the screen as he MOUTHED the sentences as they appeared on the white pages he had spent the morning and afternoon filling. At first he tried to ignore the one person he never wanted to see again, but the fact that she had sat down opposite and was now making herself known VERBALLY was throwing quite the spanner in his works. Sighing, he glanced up from the laptop and looked at her; expression blank and unamused by her presence. For a long stretch, the male did not speak. Instead, he just stared, a dark gaze meeting hers with an UNWAVERING DEFIANCE against everything that was Kate Wilde, but then he dropped his eyes back to the screen and resumed his typing. “— Feel free to leave now.”
Kate couldn’t help but chuckle at his reaction—or lack of. She hadn’t expected a friendly greeting, but this was pretty cold. How on earth had this turned around on her? Why did he get to be pissed at her? “I’m not leaving,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest stubbornly. “If I did, I wouldn’t cause a scene like you did the other night, though. Just so you know. That stunt got me yelled at. by the way. You’re probably going to be happy about that.”
