Pearl didn’t know why it was so hard to focus. It’d been a few weeks like this, every time she was around Gem she couldn’t keep her eyes in one spot, couldn’t focus on one sound. All she could do was fidget as Gem did her hair into twin braids. Normally Pearl had her hair out but digging out the square hole always got dirt in it, so Gem had volunteered to do it up nice and pretty (Gems words, not Pearls).

I'm posting TADC stuff again, fight me. I wanted to give the main 6 cast a Percy Jackson cabin so here's what me and my friends decided.

Pomni has Coeus, the Titan of questioning, not a god but I think it fits. Gangle is kind of interchangeable with Apollo and Hades, Apollo being the god of art, along with many many many other things, and Hades being god of the underworld, which she kinda has the vibe for. Zooble has Athena the god of wisdom and general wit, I also thought iris the god of colour would be pretty funny. I gave Ragatha Demeter the god of farming, partially because Ragatha grew up on a farm and also because children of Demeter are usually very caring and nurturing. Jax having hermes is pretty self explanatory, he's the god of mischief (and other things) but also pops out some depressed/angry kids. And kinger being a son of Poseidon just made sense to me, we don't really see alot of the real, sane, kinger but I think he's still a bit of a goofball and the ocean is pretty fitting for that.
