No, small talk was not a strong suit, because small talk was pointless in even a normal situation, let alone one like this where she was stuck with an imbicilic, bigoted butthole of a person who thought she was so much better than her just because she worked for the greatest evil in the galaxy. “Small talk is for people without a personality.” Obviously Shara did not have strong opinions on anything. Though she was very agitated, sure that this was intentional, of course, since all Empire lackies wanted to do was kill every Rebel they saw, Shara was able to keep her head clear enough to focus on the task at hand, even if she wanted to scream, or throw hands with the woman leading her. “People don’t need someone else to guide them, not unless they’re children. Especially if guidance is just another word for control, which in your vocabulary, it is, seeing as you’re spitting propaganda like it’s all you eat for breakfast.”

Ahsoka, ever diligent, called in Rex. Of course, he was quite excited at the prospect to blow up clankers, and the Padawan watched with mild interest, knowing that she was shieled and protected by her Master, as the sky rained in hellfire, artillery shelling blasting through the waves of droids as if they were nothing. Ahsoka couldn’t help but grin, looking over to Anakin with pride in her gaze.

Anakin knew this, had known this for quite some time now, since Padme’s assumed death and the betrayal at the hands of who had once been his Master; Anakin knew that Palpatine had manipulated all along, and the fact that he had been so easily manipulated was something that deeply wounded him, especially knowing everything that he had lost, and everything that he had done because of his own weakness. “There is nothing I trust more than our love, Padme, you must know this, but I--.” Anakin was hesitant. How could Padme even want him, when he was like this? Was it some sort of trick concieved by his Master to see where his loyalties lay? It would be a cruel prank, but Anakin would not put it past him.
