Someone would need to see to the Wardens in her absence, and handle the day to day that Varel once did. Garevel was filling in nicely, but he was no Warden, and could not take up the duties of one that Varel had. "I assume Arl Howe would be too much for Amaranthine, though the title's yours if you want it."

She pauses at the words, and eyes Zevran quietly from the corner of her eye, before looking away from him entirely, towards the treeline to think.

It's not entirely true; he'd asked for his life, after all, but it's not untrue, either. He's not asked for anything, not tried to press or wheedle any sort of advantage. Litriu exhales quietly, putting her hands to her hips and turning her face to the sky, before glancing back at him askance, head tilted. She never quite looks at anyone directly- always at an angle, always partially turned away. Shielding.

"... Talk to me, then. Tell me everything relevant and I will- do what I can," she says, carefully, voice low. "You're right. You've asked very little, everything considered." Gods know the rest of the group has asked for their favors, come to her for help or complaint. He has the same right, regardless of how their dynamic... began.

He had been pacing in his cell ever since the battle of Arrakeen. His mind a catalogue of everything he'd lost- brother, planet, name, Barony, princess and even his Uncle's blood. He hoped whatever the little Atreides bitch did was slow. When he had tried in his own clumsy attempt to keel the Old Baron he'd chosen Zenobia, when administered in the right amount the pain could last for hours even days.

He stopped his agitated pacing when he saw him, the Atreides upstart. His body visibly tensed, ready and eager to fight. Great mother let me die fighting, he thought. Don't let me die on my knees.

"What do you want, Atreides?" He asked hissing out the words as if they were poison.
