Stunning Images Of Skylines Captured With Time Lapse Photography
by Dan Marker-Moore
daniel stoupin, a doctoral candidate in marine biology at the university of queensland, has photographed a variety of coral species using full spectrum light to reveal fluorescent pigments that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye. each piece (click pic for name) is from the great barrier reef. given the complexity of the techniques used, which involve time-lapse and stereoscopic and focus stacked photography, the images take up to ten hours to produce in the lab.

"A couple of years ago, Kyle Thompson became interested in photography. Unfortunately, his anxiety prevented him from talking to people, so he opted to experiment with self-portraits.
He would spend hours, even days, walking alone through forests and exploring abandoned houses. He’s been to over 50 of them. After taking hundreds of photos, he posted some of his best to Reddit. From there, his life changed forever.” -Viralnova (2013)

Detroit-born Photographer Mark Laita explores social and cultural clashes between different social backgrounds by juxtaposing people of United States in his stunning series “Created Equal”. By contrasting social inequality, Laita invited the viewers to think about how and why they took these different directions.
People born equal but turned out totally different in real life. Mark Laita in his photo series compare different people from all walks of life such as a bank robber and a policeman, a high school dropout and a college graduate, a company president and a janitor etc. It took almost 8 years for Mark Laita to complete the project.

from 2008-2011 i photographed things left on the side of the road, mainly along this one very old & winding road which i took on my way to school each week. being that i live out in the country, people don’t just throw out beer cans and cigarette packets, but they have a habit of dumping things as well.
these are some of my most interesting finds.
shes better at photography than me
Laura
I made this trailer back in late 2011 in preparation for the release of Laura, a novella I (obviously) wrote and illustrated and hand bound in a limited edition of twenty.
I never got around to putting it online, however. The books sold quickly and once they were sold, well, I didn’t have a need for any promotional material.
Fast forward to 2013 and this novella, along with my novel Black Sands, is being published in March of 2014 by Civil Coping Mechanisms. The two books together are called S/N/D, and this is a taste of half of it.
[The girl (neck) is me, and the track is the outro of M83’s “Kelly" from their self-titled album]
I convinced @heatstroking to vine a bit of a Teen Pool Party she was attending. then @SexVHS chimed in and it became genius:
so that’s what I did
and this is the result
TEENS IN DA POOL
