I like to think about Japanese first person pronouns since that one changes depending on social standing, gender and general vibes. Also because I want ULTRAKILL to be popular with the Japanese because I’m half-Japanese.
In fact, here are my headcanons for the ULTRAKILL gang.
V1’s is “watashi” (default) -> “Boku”. While the latter has ‘young boy’ vibes I hear that gender nonconformist types use it too. Maybe even “jibun”. That one more accurately translates to “oneself” but it is also used by military types and has a detached and emotionless vibe.
Gabriel’s is “watashi” -> “atashi”. Japanese translations of the Bible have him use the former pronoun while “atashi” is more feminine. “Watashi” already has feminine vibes, but I choose the more feminine version because the more masculine ones don’t fit him (especially “ore” because I feel like that is a bit too harsh) and I subscribe to transfem Gabriel. (Probs still uses that even if he ain’t tho for the same reason why I don’t want to use “ore” for ‘em)
V2’s “ore”. It’s masculine but also used by butch types I think (for reference, Susie Deltarune uses this one). Maybe even ore-sama for maximum haughtiness. Of course there’s also “watakushi” which has a spoiled princess vibe if you want her to be extra feminine about it. Maybe she’d make up a neo(first person)pronoun for herself.
Minos’ “ware”. It does not rhyme with “where”. It’s an old timey first person pronoun. Speaking of, his second person pronoun (thou) is “nanji”.
Sisyphus’ “wagahai”. It’s archaic and haughty. Bowser uses this one for reference.
Ferryman? To be honest idk. Maybe just plain ol’ “watashi”.
Mirage’s “atashi”. Maybe even a neo(first person)pronoun if that exists. No contest.
