Although library was almost like home to him now, Teru actually didn’t interact with that many people. He preferred cleaning and arranging books alone, only occasionally exchanging some words with the librarians. Because of this, being addressed like this caught Teru by surprise.  

“A-ah, no, I was just looking around. I promised to help here out today,” Teru replied and then held out his hand. “My name is Teru, I sometimes do volunteer work here. I don’t think we have met before, though.”

Kyouya fidgeted with the hem of his shirt and smiled. “N-No! Of course not!” He looked down and exhaled slowly before smiling again, less nervous. “W-Well.. I-I guess if you want to help you can help me put these away in the romance section?”

“Will do!” Teru replied with a salute. “I have never done work together with someone here. I’m sure it will be fun though!” 

He glanced at the direction of the books and, probably for the sake of conversation, spoke: 

“Have you read any of these?”

“I-I’ve um.. read.. nearly all of them?” He says, panicking inwardly and smiling awkwardly. “I think...”

He fixed his glasses stiffly and picked up a small stack of books.

“H-Have you read any, T-Teru-san?”
