Finally free from the grasp of her mother- Lana Alarie is turning over a new leaf.
Even more determined to compete in the division rap battles now that she doesn’t have to worry about the safety of her friends she’s determined to show the party of words who’s boss! However…can you really ever truly leave your past behind.
Starlight specters has three members
Lana Alarie better known as Facade is a young artist and the leader of the group. Aggressive in her youth she’s since calmed down significantly as she matured and even got married! She proudly wears her teams logo on her bracelet (look Kanade made it for her she’s gonna show it off to everyone)
Itsuki Kamiko better known as Tsuki is a young graphic designer and the second member of the group. A rather reserved man in his youth he’s since cracked his shell a little bit at least. He proudly wears his teams logo as a jacket pin.
Kanade Alarie better known as Spooky is an actress who’s slowly transitioning from the stage to the sliver screen. She’s the final member of Starlight Specters! Shes does her best to cheer on her teammates and keep the moral high! She was the one behind the teams logo and proudly wears it as a hair pin
The group is close knit due to their past trauma- all three working on moving forward together towards a brighter future.

The specters are still reeling from the death of one of the groups biggest detractors- how are they feeling about all of this
Graveyards- Lana was familiar with them at this point. When she was younger she snuck off often to visit her father’s grave. She often went to visit Kaede’s grave on the anniversary of her death. More recently she’s been visiting Ryoko’s grave after finding out what happened to her.
Now she finds herself standing in front of another grave- one she had to hold back the urge to scream and cry at. The grave of the woman who caused the team- her family so much grief. The woman who made her so fucking afraid and miserable every single day she buried herself in her work to cope.
That woman was Arisa Omori, the woman who Lana called her mother for the longest time.
Itsuki knew all too well of the situation that the sisters biological mother had put them through. He hadn’t been safe from her wrath to begin with- that seemed to be the unfortunate price to pay for being friends with Lana and Kanade.
Speaking of the later sibling- Kanade didn’t seem to be taking this very well.
She didn’t cry, she didn’t even have any angry words to spit at her own mother’s grave- instead she stood there lifeless and numb to all of it.
“it’s finally over” Lana breaks the silence “it’s finally fucking over”
She pulled her teammates close to her as she finally broke down. Finally she let herself feel SOMETHING!
Lana let herself cry not out of sadness but out of relief.
Arisa was dead…and the three of them could finally start living without fear again.
It seems like Kanade came all this way just to give her favorite farmer a present- in her hands she held a little ghost plushie!
She also held a painting- and some candies.
“Everyone is a bit busy right now but- they wanted me to come wish you a happy birthday Sato-nee!”
From Lana you received a portrait, in the painting Asato is tending to his crops with a general happy feeling to the picture.
From Itsuki you received a box of candies- specifically an assortment of things that Asato and the gang tried during his trip to Kyoto…along with a few sweets that they didn’t get a chance to try.
From Kanade you received a plush ghost- It’s Mr Spooky! He’s happily enjoying a slice of melon! You also received- a big hug.
“Happy birthday Sato-nee!”
To get presents from everyone in the Kyoto team… Asato was overwhelmed with a lot of emotions, although his face lacked the ability to really reflect that. Instead, he took each of the gifts calmly and carefully as if they were made of glass. The painting was a surprise, knowing that he hadn’t had much of a chance to really talk with Lana. Itsuki’s gift brought back fun, albeit a rollercoaster of nostalgic memories from their little time together. And finally, the honors of receiving a special Mr. Spooky plush. Even if Asato didn’t quite get the whole story behind Mr. Spooky, he had an idea of how important getting the plushie was and embraced it. It was… A lot softer and more comfortable than he thought it would be.
“Thank you… Ala-”
Cutting him off, Kanade gifted him his last present: A big hug. In that moment, he slowly returned the hug, careful to not get his presents in the way of the kind action.
“Thank you Kanade-chan. These presents are… Perfect.”
Love these short sweet ones with Kanade. The two of them opening up more and more just melts me ugh. Power to the sibling bonds. (>_<, )

"Eeee! This is going to be so much fun! I didn't get to enter the last two pageants, so I'm really excited for this one! Plus, I get to pair up with Kanade! I'm so excited! It was a little odd dressing up like her, but I didn't mind much. Really, much of my wardrobe I kinda copied from her, Keiko, and Sumire of Shinagawa, so dressing up with more dark clothes wasn't all that bad. I kinda like it!"

Kanade is the third and final member of Starlight specters. A rising star in the acting world she’s known as everyone’s favorite little sister among the residents of Kyoto.

Personality
Kanade is an innocent seeming individual, often she’s seemed as childish by some people who haven’t known her for very long. Those who do know her seem to know a little better.
She’s a tad bit naive and unaware of how certain things work. She didn’t have the best of childhoods and thinks acting the way she does would make people happy. After all…she can be happy if other people are happy right?
Background
Kanade is the youngest child in her family. Her life wasn’t the best from the very beginning- her mother’s behavior hadn’t even hit its peak yet. She spent most of her life in the care of her older sibling who she lovingly referred to as her hero.
If you ask her about the trauma she suffered at the hands of her mother she’ll look at you funny. What trauma? She hardly remembers a thing! That’s a bold faced lie- she just doesn’t want to make you sad. She doesn’t want to admit that the memories of that hospital room keep her awake at night. She doesn’t want to admit that she knows she meant nothing to the woman who she was forced to call her mother.
Let’s not think of the sad. Let’s talk about her biggest passion in life- acting. She loved movies and stage plays from a young age- often being captivated by a certain actress from Gion division. She’s always been a member of any drama club her school offers.
The absolute joy from the crowd is what she loves the most.
For awhile she would hang around a small family owned shrine in Kyoto- her best friend was a shrine maiden named Mina. Eventually the two grew apart during the Darling Divaz era. Around this time she was also scouted by Mitsuru Kagome- a talent scout working for a company named KJ Entertainment.
Joining the starlight specters seemed to skyrocket Kanades career even further. Offers to act in movies and tv shows came in left and right. She also met her now girlfriend Criss Hiromi at the time.

Personality
Itsuki is a soft spoken man. Almost always amicable and polite. He doesn’t like starting conflict and hates being the center of attention usually.
However he does sometimes stick his neck out for his loved ones- he’s even gotten into fights with people before to protect his closest friends from a violent aggressor.
Background
Itsuki is the youngest child in his family. Coming from a broken home he doesn’t remember his childhood very much. He knows his father left when he was young and his mother was a drug addict.
He was forced out of his home by child welfare authorities when he was only 5 years old. His mother had cut 3 of his sisters fingers off- the final straw for her before she ran for help.
He spent a few years in an orphanage- often bullied by the other children. Locked in closets by the older boys and tormented by a girl named Himeko and her dolls.
He and his sister adopted by two lawyers- Kai and Aoi Kamiko. He finally had a loving family- some kids did poke fun at him for having two dads but he didn’t care. He was happy to have two loving parents.
In school he met an older kid- a girl who would later be known as Lana Alarie. The two developed a fast friendship- a friendship that survived so many challenges.
The biggest challenge was Itsuki having to stare down the barrel of a gun to save his friends.
During the era of the darling divaz he got into contact with his biological mother shortly before her death. At that point she was begging for money- money that Itsuki wouldn’t give her. Itsuki still regrets that decision when he found out she joined a rather suspicious church group ran in Gion.
Nowadays his life is a lot more calm- even if he’s got the attention of the nation due to his participation in the DRB,

Personality
Lana Alarie is a rather hot headed individual. She’s gotten into too many fights over her sister or Itsuki- fights that have landed her in the slammer more than once.
Most people are afraid of her- some even avoid her.
However those who really get to know her see a different side of her. A more gentle side, the side that would do anything to see her loved ones smile no matter how hard the task may be.
Background
Lana was the oldest child in her family. Growing up with a father who was a government official and a mother who was the CEO of a tech company.
Lana was more partial to hang out with her father. Her mother being rather…aggressive towards everyone even her own children. Night after night she would cover her ears as her mother and father fought. After Kanade was born Lana just decided to busy herself with taking care of her younger sister.
She took up art as a way to cope with it all.
Things got worse for Lana as she got older- especially after her father was found dead in his office.
Lana’s mother seemed to get even worse- taking out her stress on both Lana and Kanade. She even allowed some of her more…scientific friends to run all sorts of tests on both Lana and Kanade.
One day Lana snapped- she took her little sister and ran as far as she could.
She did her best to survive- living in a small apartment and taking on odd jobs for money. Occasionally she would do work for a girl named Ryoko- the two becoming fast friends.
Then one day her friend sold her out for money and higher status.
No one knows what happened when Lana and her sister were dragged back home. No one except Itsuki really. The three of them would always go quiet when the subject came up.
When she was around 25 years old she ended up joining a rap group known as the Darling Divas. The group itself disbanded when Lana was 27 years old due to the murder of the groups leader- Kaede.
People lost track of her whereabouts after that. A new artist was making waves in Kyoto at the time anyway- people seemed more obsessed with learning about the works of the artist known as “Facade”.
Little did they all know that same artist would come out to the spotlight 2 years later. Lana “Facade” Alarie would be joining the division rap battles.

“You know, it’s nice to see so many people around my age in this tournament,” she chuckled. “Lana Alarie, I know her to be one of the more wild ones we have. Maybe a tad bit brash, but that’s just the way she is! That’s her charm. Incredibly skilled with her artwork, too. She’s a fun time overall.”

“Shian’s filled me in briefly about their early days. My heart truly does go out to them… Despite their background, they seemed to have bounced back pretty well.
