I don’t know I just sometimes feel the need to clarify that not all Christian homes are abusive snobby rich parents teaching their kids to follow a set of strict rules and guidelines … my parents are pastors, I grew up with the same freedom to choose my religion as anyone else, sure Christianity was a big part of my childhood obviously but my parents never forced me to profess Jesus I was given the opportunity and I chose to do it myself. I lived in a home without faith and hope and love and without a mother and a father who lived for Jesus and I have lived in a home with faith and love and hope and parents who live for God and for each other and for me. I was never told I couldn’t do something because it would hurt me but I have always known to respect my parents beliefs even when I don’t agree whole heatedly because I’m not here to judge them and they aren’t here to judge me, we are here to live and love for God and for each other and please just stop stereotyping Christian homes as prisons and places with no creativity or passion each situation is different I know but don’t feed hate culture. I love the home I grew up in and the love I was shown and I know I wouldn’t have been shown that love without  God and my parents loving God enough to obey Him when he said to adopt three kids from a meth adicted mother and charrish every moment they are together

This is a callout post for the TSA agent who was incredibly thoughtful and concerned about me flying across the country all alone without an adult and wanted to make sure I knew how to go through security and felt safe and comfortable and explained that, as per the signs, children under 12 can keep their shoes on, and directed me specifically to another agent to help me so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed or afraid.

You were super sweet and kind, and the look on your face when I handed you my driver’s license and you realized I was 25 was priceless.
