Realising at some point that Kyungsoo wasn’t going to answer her question, Rosa sighed loudly and nodded her head once. “It’s alright.” she said in a soft voice, grabbing a pen and a piece of paper, writing down her mobile number, e-mail, LINE and AIM user names, slowly sliding him the paper on the desk. “Here. You can contact me any time you want or need. I’m here everyday, but if you feel comfortable with other means of communication, feel free to use whichever, whenever. Even at 3AM, if you feel like it, alright?” Putting down the pen, she leaned back against the chair, resting her hands in her lap “You can leave now, if you wish. We can continue another time and, as I said, it doesn’t have to be here. There is no rush, and I don’t want you to force yourself to do anything, that’s not why I’m here.”
Rosa's sigh brought Kyungsoo out of his revere with a jump. He suddenly realized he hadn't replied and started to feel bad, wondering if she was now angry with him. At first he hadn't really paid attention to what she was saying, instead waiting for her to start yelling or something. But when he did start to listen he felt relieved and a tiny smile formed on his lips. He was happy she was willing to try other things to make him feel comfortable, and he really would be more comfortable with other means of communication. He took the piece of paper hesitantly and stood up, bowing deeply to her before scurrying out of the room.
Rosa’s eyebrows arched at his words, but she tried to not be so obvious about how surprised she was. She knew about his ED and about his SAD. But what did he really mean? Was he referring to his social anxiety, or something else? The woman knew plenty of people that were aware of—- certain aspects of the Island, but nobody to be afraid. His body language was telling her that he was not talking about spiders either. “Scared? What do you mean? Can you tell me more?” she asked him, even though she was almost positive that he won’t give her a straight answer.
Kyungsoo didn't want to talk more, he already felt spent just from the current conversation. But it was his decision to come here, and he wasn't going to get anywhere if he continued to stay quiet, wasn't that what he was trying to fix? All this inner confusion and anxiety was really starting to weigh on him, he wasn't used to hard conversation like this. He was starting to feel like maybe he couldn't do this, he should just run back to his room and stay there forever this time. All the time he was caught up in his mind it had been minutes and he had all but forgotten that she still needed an answer.

Without saying anything, Rosa listened to his words, and even after he finished speaking, she’s left nodding slowly to herself as if he was still speaking. In fact, she was just deep into her head, thinking about what he said to her, about him, about his file, but also, trying to keep herself together. Her own conditions were making this difficult, and she couldn’t allow them to interfere, especially seeing him already so nervous. With a last firm nod and a deep breath, she slowly slid off the desk, going back to her chair behind it, thinking that maybe having a piece of furniture and some space between them would help him a little bit. “I could simply search for your file and read there the details I cannot remember, but I’d rather have you telling me whatever you are comfortable with telling me. You don’t eat. But I assume that that is not why you are here—- ?” She tilted her head looking at him, her arms resting again relaxed on her desk.
Kyungsoo's file. He knew what they had on him, knew just how far back his file went; a childhood full of doctors visits until he was fully admitted when he was eight. Maybe it would be easier for her to just read his file, then he wouldn't have to talk, she could just learn everything there is to know about him without having to actually talk to him. But maybe that's why no one had gotten anywhere with him. After some time of debating and questioning and then convincing himself to actually speak, he was able to get what he wanted to say out. "No. I...I don't want to be scared anymore." He knows it's a lot to ask, but he's so tired of not being able to talk to people, of running away scared of everyone. He's finally trying to do something about it, if if that something is sitting in her office absolutely terrified.
Rosa watched him closely before he answered, and once he did, her arms fell on her sides and she rested her palms on the desk, pushing herself up to sit on it, dangling her feet in the air. She looked at him for a few seconds, a cheerful smile plastered on her lips, until she finally decided to speak. “Okay, let’s get things straight. There will be no trick questions. I asked you that because I was simply curious. Because I want to know if you have friends—— well, people, if there are people in your life, that you trust enough to eat or drink from. You know, to some people, refusing a treat is considered rude. But actually, it takes trust to accept that kind of stuff from somebody. Especially when the anxiety is one of your closest friends.” Still dangling her feet in the air, she looked around the room before returning his gaze upon him once more “Is there anything you think I could do, to make you feel at least a little bit more comfortable?”
He sucked in a deep breath, shoulders tensing at her sudden movement and cursed himself for being so jumpy. He takes a moment to calm back down and analyzes her next words. He understand what she means, but also realizes she doesn't realize his own reasoning. He stays silent the whole time she speaks, eyes on his lap as his knee bounces nervously. It hurts to be reminded that many of his actions are considered rude, which is one of the fears that causes his actions. He keeps remind himself that he's hear for help with his problems and that hiding them like usual, or well attempting to, isn't going to help that along. He swallows thickly before speaking in a quiet voice. "I-It's not that...I-...I just...Don't eat." He cringes as he says this, flinching as though hurt by the sound of his own words. He still forces himself to continue. "No..No th-thank you."
So don’t. It’s cool. I have to go. I’ll see you around. I’m Seo by the way.
O-Okay..Bye.
Watching him sitting on the armchair, she arches a brow, wondering what made him pick the less comfortable item to sit on. Of course, what she thought about was totally different from what he actually thought about when he made his choice, and she knew she might be wrong with her assumption. At first she wanted to use that first decision she made him make to start sketching his personality, but something told her she should not. “No, thank you?” a light chuckle escapes her lips as she sits up from her desk, walking around it to come in front and rest against it. With her arms crossed across her chest loosely, she looks at him for a second before asking in a very soft voice “If I was a friend, you would’ve still said no?”
His breath hitches in his throat momentarily as she steps closer to him on the other side of the desk. He attempts to calm him breathing by closing his eyes, which works until she speaks up again. Her question throws him off, he couldn't understand why would ask that. He spent the next minute trying to figure out her question. He couldn't decide whether a yes or a no meant he would have refused refreshment either way. His eyes squeezed tighter shut as he started to become anxious about making a fool of himself. In the end he forced a whisper out. "I-I don't want to drink...e-either wa-ay." He took a deep breath to recover, still debating on if his answer was sufficient.
