*sappy thanksgiving post*

When I think about where I was last Thanksgiving (begging for mercy from my restaurant manager to let me have the day off) and where I'm at today, I feel like I have more to be thankful for this year than ever. I'm thankful for all the lessons I learned and people I met at my restaurant job. I'm thankful that I don't have to work there anymore. I'm thankful for Dan and all the love and support he's offered to me during what has been one of the most challenging chapters of my life. I'm thankful for the beautiful relationship we've built together. I'm thankful for my family, and how they didn't give up on me when I thought I might not be able to make it on my own. I'm thankful for new friends, and more importantly, old friends. I'm thankful for the friends that still make a point to stay in touch even though we live hours away. I'm thankful for the two jobs I have in my field, and the two work 'families' that I have become apart of. I'm thankful for the bonds that I've built with my clients, and the hugs they give me when I make their days better. I'm thankful for my little apartment and fish that has miraculously lived to see another Thanksgiving...

Most importantly, I'm thankful for the opportunities I have to give back. Not everyone has the luxury of going on and on in a self-absorbed blog post about the things they're thankful for. :-)

I don't think I've ever been this happy

I've been having such great weekends :')

22 is such a weird age. (Thanks to Facebook) I'm starting to see people that I know post things like engagement announcements, wedding photos, and even baby pictures. On the other side of things, I'm seeing posts like: "Today marks 9 months sober", and "I'm posting this status from jail ha". I'm not judging any of these posts (maybe the last one...) but it's crazy how people can end up in such different places within 4 years. Even though 90% of the things I read on Facebook make me feel like I'm losing brain cells, I find this aspect of "staying connected" very interesting.
