Hello! I hope this isn't a repeat question, but how do I start a new line when working on a member's about section?

I want to have a banner image to start and then BELOW it begin putting text. If I input only the image, it takes up the whole space length-wise and is perfect. As soon as I type anything, the text gets put to the right and halves the size so that it looks like two columns were created. Pressing enter twice does nothing and I've tried random and various coding commands to force a new line of text to start with zero luck. To put the image, I used ![](URL) and nothing else.

I wanted to ask this in the Discord server so I could provide pictures but I'm still waiting on being approved (unless I've been rejected); so I hope my description will suffice.

Hi, just to check..are you using the built in description on the profile or are you using a custom field to create the description?

If you are using a custom field please set the field to the markdown option as the default text option for custom fields is single line text.

If you ARE using the built in description you may need to wait to be approved for the discord server so you can submit a bug report

Is there an option for a system tag? I'm not seeing it anywhere and I'd really hate to have to add it to over 200 names

Hihi! You can set a system tag, however you’d need to set that through the bot rather than on the app

Could there be a way to turn parts into custom statuses?

Our custom fronts imported as parts and it would be better if we could use them as custom statuses but... We can't find a way to do that

Sorry for the late response you’ve likely already found a fix for this but in case anyone else has the same thing happen, there is a toggle on member profiles that allows you to stop them being counted towards your headcount. This is probably the easiest way to make a “part” into a custom status without having to manually move everything to the custom status page

Hii, I am aware that BerryTree is still in it’s beginning stages and many changes will probably be made in the future but I was wondering if I could suggest a feature??

Wonderful app so far by the way, very helpful.

My system and a few of my system friends would absolutely love it if the privacy buckets had the option to enable a function that lets whoever has the bucket assigned to see alters / system members but not their descriptions. Or literally any way to make alter descriptions private without hiding the whole alter.

Making an option to add a private description along with the visible one works as well.

No pressure of course, just suggesting what me and many other users are probably hoping to see in the future ^_^

Hihi! This is something that can already be achieved using the custom fields option, so it’s unlikely that a separate toggle will be added you can choose which privacy bucket sees which custom field so it would be best to do it that way!

hi! the app seems to be down right now, its not loading any of my alters and is giving me error messages! is anything going on?

Hihi! Cloudflare had an outage which affected berrytree’s loading ability. It should all be fixed and back up now though!

Not sure if there's any bug report system besides the discord so I'm putting it here.

I downloaded the app and imported from an SP file. And it didn't transfer the names of my custom fields which is fine, but now it has mutiple custom fields that are all attached to 1 field in the custom field section? Like if I change the name of it it shows that all of them are that one field (same name and attached to the one editing pannel) despite showing up separately on profiles

Obviously it can be redone but I still wanted to inform, hope I explained well enough

Hi! This is a known bug! Noah is working on fixing it up right now, you can either wait for the fix to happen and be rolled out (which should fix them) or you can re-do them.

If you DO re-do them please just make sure that each field has a completely unique name to one another until the fix is rolled out!

hi, is there a way to upload system members from other apps via JSON file? I can find the export button but no way to import a JSON. thanks!

Theres a dashboard button called Import. :)

The note option is visible to the one owning the profile in edit view!

How do you get the companion I can't seem to find it in my settings or anything (android)

You need the newest update from the playstore. Once downloaded it'll pop up very obviously on the dashboard!

Is there ever gonna be an option to change the companion in the future? I know there's one for hiding it but we'd like to change the animal, not hide it

I am not 100% sure on that yet. There's considering it, but not a full decision has been made yet!

Hi! Its on BerryTree yes, the newest android update in the PlayStore has it, and the Testflight will have it once apple approved it!

hi! im having a bit of trouble with the app (testflight)

i wanna switch whatever i had in my description to a custom field but whenever i do so, the tabs aren’t working :p

the custom field type im using is markdown which im assuming is fine but it kinda just breaks.

the first tab works just fine but the others don’t work and kinda just go into the first tabs

i can show a screenshot/recording in another ask (since i just want this to be anonymous pls don’t reply to that one <3)
