On account of kind of... solely posting Endless Ocean content to my reblog blog as of late, I've decided to make a sideblog solely for these games for my own peace of mind. My focus on this as a sort of... sub-hyperfixation means you shouldn't expect anything too consistent from here.

This blog will mainly focus on Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean Blue World. I have played Luminous, but it holds no place in my mind. I intend to play the Everblue duology at some point in time, possibly.

Expect some crossover content with Ace Attorney, as that is my main fandom (find more of that on my main, @brodorokihousuke)

there are three so it isn't gigantic in the post! It also, admittedly, looks way funnier as a trio.

look at least I didn't join at the last minute like last year and squander an entire week on making/rushing oc sheets. And I still managed to do 166 attacks back then!

Eh anyway. I'm considering adding Kristoph possession AU Apollo but my focus for this is mostly on my OCs! Matthias is basically just sirenpollo but different so. yknow. He does have a big-ass bio with lore if you are interested, I like him and his friends a lot

Interestingly, the nighttime track for the Gabbiano in Endless Ocean seems to have been roughly based on the piano line (particularly during the intro and first verse) from the song "Ogni Volta" (Vasco Rossi, released 1982), but sped up and keyshifted.

This makes some sense, given, as the loading screen notes, the ship is named using an Italian term. On top of that, Arika seems to like Italian flair in its ocean-related releases, and the song is popular in its country of origin. However, that didn't make it any less surprising to hear a much-too familiar chord progression while listening through a playlist of Italian 80's hits...

Miscellaneous animal sprites - Everblue (PS2, 2001)

The ocean has more variety, of course, but these sprites are all lovely regardless. The orange and black cats are both named, being Socks and Timo respectively

Finally managed to get the sealife meshes ripped out of Everblue, and while I already knew the degree to which assets from it were reused for Endless Ocean 1 and 2....

...It's still pretty funny to see it plainly.

Left is the model of the blue-green chromis from Everblue, and right is the open-world (non-zoom) model of the same fish from Endless Ocean Blue World. They just... smoothed him out a bit!

Fiction Magazine

Magazine with poor quality fiction popular in the early 20th century. Some of the authors are now famous.

Personal Diary

The pages of this diary have a pretty marbled design. Typically, only the first three pages contain entries.

Old Vellum Book

Excellent collection of works by 18th century philosophers, but in poor condition due to the materials used.

Poetry Anthology

This early 19th century collection of German poems is worth looking at for the engravings alone.

Japanese Book

An 18th century Japanese book containing woodblock prints, preserved in immaculate condition by tight wrapping.

History Book

This book of recent European history is bound in beautiful Moroccan leather inlaid with fine gold decoration.

Antique Art Book

A French Art Deco book, copiously illustrated with full-colour plates showing famous works of that time.

Epic Poem

A fantastic epic poem by a Scottish author of the late 18th century, beautifully bound in Moroccan leather.

Grimoire

A book of spells that has survived from the medieval period. It gives an insight into the beliefs of that age.

Rare Book

A monk's collection of strange tales. This has historical as well as esoteric value and is unquestionably rare.

The 7th Tome

A copy of the 7th volume of the legendary Emerald Tablet. Lost until now, this is thought to be the only copy.

Pickled Olives

A jar of pickled olives. You could probably eat them, if you wanted to…

Juice Bottle

An extremely rare juice bottle only produced in a limited region. This is a sought-after collectors item.

Glass Vase

A high quality glass vase. It's in good condition, so if you clean it you could probably use it.

Mercury Bottle

A medicine bottle full of mercury, indispensable for refining gold in the Middle Ages.

Perfume Bottle

A finely cut glass perfume bottle. The bottle alone is of high artistic value, never mind the perfume.

Soy Sauce

A bottle of high quality soy sauce made by traditional methods. Its hearty flavour goes well with any recipe.

Ship in a Bottle

A meticulously constructed miniature model sailing ship inside an empty bottle.

Antique Bottle

A blue glass bottle from the 18th century. Its deep blue colour, called Bristol blue, comes from cobalt oxide.

Mulled Wine*

Red wine with a rich aroma and mellow flavour, mixed with spices and heated. A traditional winter drink.
