The Lore of my Rain World AU
PLEASE DO NOTE: This contains spoilers for multiple campaigns, read at your own risk.
The Beginning:
Things start off rather normal in this timeline, everything, and I do mean everything up to Saint's campaign is the exact same. However the changes to how things play out with Saint drastically alter the course of events. In this timeline Saint's ascension ability leaves behind small cracks in reality, areas where the void's power has eaten away at the threads of space. Through these frayed holes things could pass into this reality. Many things did, most rather inconsequential. However two instances of things crossing over are rather notable, Enot, another timeline's failed triple affirmative, and our good friend Thamiro.
The Young God:
Thamiro, who at the time was dipping his metaphorical toes into the world of creation magic and the alteration of reality, took interest in this world, mainly finding the many beasts that roamed the landscape interesting, his favorite being slugcats. He began shaping reality around him to allow the slugcats to do as he pleased, along with bringing back many of the slugcats we know and love, Survivor, Rivulet, Spearmaster, the whole lot. Eventually, he officially took up residence in this reality, setting up a hideout in Chimney Canopy. Nowadays he just messes around with his creation magic, occasionally messing with the slugcats when he feels like it and even exploring a few other AUs, most notably sometimes showing up in Aznackdreampower's Hotdogs AU from time to time. Fun fact, Thamiro is the canonical reason for the artstyle, due to the way he looks and his manner of creation, that being painting, everything he creates has an artwork-esque look to it. This is why you will sometimes see Thamiro interacting with objects or characters that aren't in his artstyle.
The Void:
The void itself is an interesting thing in my AU, the void is an entire reality, which due to being composed almost entirely of voidfluid, has a tendency to bleed into other realities. This is my explanation for the copies of yourself you see when you dive into the abyss, those are other versions of you from other realities that dived in at the same time.
The Slugcats' New Lives:
The slugcats all went on to do different things in their newly changed world, I'll give a brief summary on what each one is doing.
Survivor and Enot: These two got together and are kinda just goofing around doing their own thing, they like to travel a lot and don't really have any set home. Enot has a tendency to cause problems.
Monk: Currently living with Artificer as roommates of sorts, trying to live a normal life but living with Arti makes that difficult.
Hunter: In a relationship with Arti, lives with NSH, and is basically wheelchair-bound since Thamiro couldn't figure out how to get the rot out of him for good when bringing him back. Is a very caring partner who loves to show affection, considering despite being stuck in a wheelchair, he's been given a second chance at life and is not going to waste it.
Artificer: Monk's roommate of sorts and Hunter's partner, still hasn't quite gotten over losing her pups but she's working on it.
Gourmand: He's still a legend among the slugcats and has dedicated his life to cooking for the colony.
Rivulet and Spearmaster: The two got together and are doing their best to keep Moon in somewhat working order, considering Thamiro knows creation magic they often request spare parts from him. Unfortunately Thamiro can't create anything too complex like a rarefraction cell as he doesn't know how they work, and neither Riv nor Spear know how it works either, and Moon can't exactly remember.
