Sweet dreams little one! Side note, I've always been vocal about assigning a specific color such as boys wear blue and girls wear pink. I want my boy to grow up comfortable and not with that idea of assigning a gender through a color. As adults, we immediately label infants and that's how the whole cycle of gender identity begins. I don't want my son as he gets older to point at a boy and tease them because they want to use pink. I gave seen this in my classroom and I always say that we can choose any color we love. Young children may not have the language yet to state their opinions, but we sure as their guardians do have the power to change antiquated perceptions about gender. #gender #babystagram #genderequality (at Belmont Cragin, Chicago)
