For a long time, I struggled to find my own style, until I just started drawing the way I liked, without trying to copy things that would've made me stretch too far beyond my limits

Hey! July 10 anon here. I totally agree with what you said about Amaguji dynamic being romantic. That’s definitely the best way to sum up why they’re so appealing to me. Despite limited interaction in canon, they just feel EXTREMELY compatible. Their talents pair nicely, and their designs look great and cohesive together, which is a huge plus. In the lineup of v3 characters they’re both more on the mature side, but still have a sense of innate freakiness (Rantaro with his vagueposting and Korekiyo with his…general personality) that you can assume they bring out in each other, which really just sets itself up for fun situations.

One thing I loved about the ship back in my glory days was how low-conflict it felt. In the same franchise that gave us Komahina and other ships that frequently butted heads, Amaguji felt like a nice breath of fresh air. They funnel into each other, they bounce off of one another, and they never felt like they would argue often. If they did, I felt like they would solve it without little drama. It’s just a ship that really allows you to see how much love and respect they would have for one another. And since we have little canon to go off of, getting that all just an imagining of their dynamic was also beautiful to me.

Sorry for going on a ramble, clearly not something I got to talk about extensively when I was a FREAK about them lmao. I really do enjoy seeing your art! Thank you for doing your part for the Amaguji Army 🫡

I spent a long time thinking about what exactly I like about this ship, because it's rather unusual for me

Both characters feel more emotionally mature than most of the cast, but it's still so fun to come up with scenarios for them, I don't think I've ever had a ship I've drawn this many comics for lol

They're both so weird and have so many bottled-up problems, but at the same time, like you said, I don't think they'd have any long-term conflicts and drama in their relationship

I'm really happy I now have enough drawing skill to contribute to this wonderful ship!

Your amaguji art has singlehandedly pulled me back into the ship. I used to be so down bad for it at the peak of my dr fix and I miss how crazy i was about them lol
