good news for annoying people (us). they even made a joint statement and posted it on instagram stories.

the real annoyance in this mess is the grammy institution thinking they're slick - there's an entire (!) wikipedia page on how historically biased and prejudiced they are, and they believed bts would roll with that when they have the ability and status to decline unbothered? 😭

in the age of ICE raids and white male supremacy on the rise, w/ the grammys taking place in a xenophobic country run by that guy and the deluded red hat folks, plus the state of the internet rn? 💀

...only to fall flat on their face rn we love to see it. it will be massively entertaining to see what the grammys do now/who they scramble to 'nominate'. if they get their act together at all lmao

bc award winners, rather than getting a cash prize, see an increase in ticket sales and streams - all three are something bts does not need, but the grammys do. since their 'cash cow' is gone they'll go empty-handed and shunned. which is what happens when you sideline and consolation-prize someone whose soft power and fanbase they still underestimate.

Many places have a "forest that shouldn't be entered." Even people who are used to working in the mountains feel there is something there. They are suddenly overcome with fear and it becomes the custom to avoid certain places. These places exist. I don't know what is there, but I think they are real . . . The world is more than we can fathom with our five senses. The world doesn't exist just for humans. So I think it is all right to have such things. This is why I think it's a mistake to think about nature from the idea of efficiency, that forests should be preserved because they are essential for human beings . . . I am concerned, because for me the deep forest is connected in some way to the darkness deep in my heart. I feel that if it is erased, then the darkness inside my heart would also disappear, and my existence would grow shallow.
