saw today at the cemetery, i hope they are together in their forever
i hope with all my heart that i can move back to italy this year… i loved leaving the flat everyday and seeing something truly new, plus learning italian is a lot easier when you have to speak it every day lol
i’m a city girl through and through, and milano was a dream for me. if some very important things in my life line up in the coming weeks then i might make it there in time for summer.
when i first moved to milano i was in very early recovery from AN, having been discharged from a unit a couple months before. there are so many vital factors that changed my body, habits and mindset, but moving to italy gave me a unique kind of excitement and desire to improve that i really believe saved me! i’m in a better (not perfect) place now with my self esteem and eating behaviours, due in large part to that choice to relocate.
now i’m in recovery from grief, and i want so fervently to go back to the place that i got stronger before.
jewellery table at the farmer’s market (i bought the silver swan earrings)
i ❤️ using the flash when i don’t need to
i restored this little camera (samsung S760) recently and i’ve been getting to grips with it, really enjoying the challenge. it’s a wonderful and intentional thing to take a camera out of my pocket and take a photo, especially because it’s just a camera, not a social vessel or telephone or entertainment system. i’m not throwing my phone away or anything, it’s just nice to know more about what i feel passionate about. nothing is automatic with this, it’s a bit of technological awareness that has become so easy to bypass with a smartphone and i’m grateful to be learning!!
tracey emin: a second life at the tate modern. it was insanely busy and i can understand why. a ruthless and earnest portrayal of trauma, girlhood, womanhood... having your body treated as a vessel for sex and a territory for disease. but the inherent ache of living is interrupted always by opportunities for joy and creation, moments that Emin never wastes.
new camera, new things to notice everywhere i go
my boyfriend calls me “little strawberry” for a reason!
photos from my walk yesterday. i went along the canal, through the cemetery, past the market stalls and floated from place to place. i love the colours in London, i feel proud.

a little bit obsessed with this simone rocha look from the most recent show… i watched it live and seeing the pieces move doesn’t compare to a photo at all! still this look stuck with me.
i’ve been feeling so unwell the past week. i’m lucky to have pretty things outside of my body to keep me sane.
