A detail from a contact sheet of 35mm images of scenes featuring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly dancing in “Labyrinth” (1986).
Three of these images are completely new to me - how lovely it is to see these, especially now.

No, it isn’t. But that’s the way it is.
This is literally the dramatised version of every fanfic-ised version of the ballroom scene I’ve ever read.
What the HELL is this from???
Trust me, I’m working on trying to find that out! From what I can tell, this is the synopsis for Idiotsitter:
Created by and starring Jillian Bell (“Workaholics”) and Charlotte Newhouse, the half-hour scripted series “Idiotsitter” follows cash-strapped Harvard grad Billie, who answers a babysitting ad to make ends meet. Thinking that she’ll be caring for a 7-year-old girl, Billie finds out what is actually needed is a court-appointed guardian for mega-rich womanchild Gene, who’s under house arrest in her dad’s mansion. Stuck with each other, the strange bedfellows develop a friendship that reaches new depths of depravity.
I’m guessing this is the dream/fantasy of one of the female leads. I can relate.
If Hollywood ever makes a reboot of Labyrinth, I wish it was cartoons. Just imagine the possibilities.

“Through dangers untold. And hardships unnumbered. I have fought my way here to the castle; beyond the goblin city, to take back the child that you have stolen. My will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom as great…You have no power over me!”

Nothin’ but Bowie playing at the studio today. Farewell Starman and Goblin King ♥
RT @roseveleth: “Today, in honor of David Bowie, please take a little time to work on that weird thing you secretly create, whatever it is. He’d want you to."
Never, oh! never, nothing will die; The stream flows, The wind blows, The cloud fleets, The heart beats, Nothing will die.
Nothing Will Die, Tennyson
With today’s dreadful news, I realise exactly what Blackstar is. It’s the final creative testament of David Bowie - and that’s exactly what he intended it to be. And it’s beautiful - genuinely beautiful and moving. So much more moving now I understand that it’s the work of man who knew he was dying. This is the last track on David Bowie’s last album. It’s melancholy but also strangely uplifting, and I think that’s exactly what he intended. This is him saying goodbye. Bowie lived as an artist, and he died as one too. His art will always remain, and I’ll always be grateful.
it's only forever not long at all
