this trio are from Hiroshi's Labyrinth, and may appear separately at times

Quandin is nonbinary, using they/it pronouns. They are also half Oni amd half Islander, and are genetically a chimera like what can happen irl (go look up what an irl chimera is, it's cool), and they grew up in Hiroshi's Labyrinth

Quek is the greener bird with mint feathers and is male, his species is unnamed as it's native to Hiroshi's Labyrinth

Quell is the bluer bird with orange on its feathers and is female. Same species as Quek, feel free to send suggestions on what to name the species!

Jay lifted his right hand - out of habit of his left one being broken and mangled - and pressed it to his head squeezing his eyes shut as a sudden headache came over him. "Ugh..." He looked like he was soon going to join Acronix in unconsciousness.

Quandin nods, standing fully upright from their squatted position, "Very well. You know where it is I reside now, should you need to call upon me."

Jay strugglingly forced his eyes to remain open, biting his fangs into his lower lip to try and keep himself awake. He looked up as Quandin, squinting softly as his slitted pupils dilated both way. "Sssee ya around, Feather Phantom." He commented before letting out a soft hiss.

"do you want to hold gamma?" Nya asked gently as the little kitten reached for his dad worried about him

Jay looked down with tired eyes, blinking hard for a moment. "...sssure..." Jay took Gamma with his right hand, flexing and rotating his - now healed - left hand as if testing for any pain.

"We are nearing the portion of the jungle where the Storm Belt rests over; your skies-sea-vessel will be unable to continue onward through it but I can still fly in a storm even as great as the Storm Belt's." Jiro said, speaking telepathically to Nya and Pixal who were on the Bounty flying just slightly behind him.

"Any form of vehicle will be struck down by the intense forever-storming-regions; it would be best to last your ship-of-sky and both of you ride me further into the junglling-Labyrinth-with-seeming-no-end. I can protect you both using my Kra'Zaleth to keep the storm at bay from you." Jiro answered through mind, looking down along his underbelly at where the two were on the ship.

Alright, I’ll land the ship

Jiro swerved in the air and tipped into a dive down to where the Bounty had been landed, unfurling his wings at the last second and slowly let himself down on the ground. There, he crouched down on all fours and angled one of his arms in a way for the two to more easily climb onto his back.

She climbs on, sitting down.

Nya joined them carrying an aid kit in her backpack as she sits ready "cmon!"

She watched through the Falcon Vision as she stayed with Zane as he recovered.

Jiro glanced at the Falcon before using his Kra'Zaleth - the gem on his head - and extending its storm-field around Nya and the falcon before launching into the sky and flying above the jungle. As they entered the area where the Storm Belt lived over, Nya and the falcon were not effected by it due to Jiro's protection.

Jiro suddenly stopped, midflight and just hovered in the air, looking around hurriedly.

A pair of birds are darting around in the trees around them, seemingly watching them. The one with more orange feathers comes closer than the other, looking them over with miss-matched eyes.

Zane, come look at these birds!

She says as she sits in the medical ward with Zane.

Wow! They really are colorful! I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite like that!

The bird that was closer approached the falcon, looking at it curiously and cautiously. The other, however, followed Jiro in his dive.

Do you have any idea of what the species might be?

She asked her husband.

No, I’ve never seen these birds before.

The bird caws at the Falcon, head tilting as she squints

Jiro roared as he dove with Nya on his back, seeming almost frantic. From below the tree canopy and on the jungle floor, there was a soft whirring sound before a loud BLAST.

He flies down to check on them, Pixal’s voice comes through.

Nya! Jiro! Are you two okay?!

The birds both zoom past the Falcon and dive fully through the canopy, disappearing out of sight through the leaves

The Falcon lands, analyzing the situation.

Jiro breaches the tree canopy just in time to spot a figure - a very familiar figure - on the jungle ground, a bright blast of something striking Jay's form and knocking him back and to the ground.

Jay! We are here to take you home!

Another familiar face appears in Acronix moving quickly over to Jay, calling out the Lightning Master's name in concern - "JAY?! Jay??"

Jiro landed and whipped his head around, searching for where the blast came from, a deep growl emanating from his chest and throat.

That’s the guy from the tapes!

Jay groaned from where he was at on the ground, holding against him his arm that was in the makeshift sling that was his hoodie. "Ow-"

Acronix moves to try comforting Jay, worriedly saying "Hey, hey, it's ok man, it's ok"

Quandin fires an arrow at something in the bushes, making both their presence above and the threat below known. Quek and Quell circle above, cawing as they watch what's happening below, Quek diving after the arrow shortly after

Jiro let out a roar before bounding over and firing a beam of lightning from his maw at whoever was hidden in the bushes and had blasted whatever it was at Jay.

Acronix looks towards Jiro worriedly, then towards the bushes with a much angrier expression, "You get over with the dragon, ok Jay?"

Jay gritted his teeth as he sat up with the help of Acronix before glaring daggers at the bushes. He stood up on his own, his arm in the sling being held close to his body. "I'm fine." Without looking down at the band on his deltoid he spoke. "Amp flow 100 with 100 coulombs charge; voltage pressure 400." Came Jay's voice in almost a hiss.

"Upping flow to 100 amps of 100 coulombs; voltage pressure reaching 400."

Came a slight digital voice from his arm before lightning began sparking off of his form. He lifted his good hand as small bolts flickered from his eyes as he looked down at his hand, generating his lightning withing his palm before his hardened gaze snapped back to the bushes. "I'm thinking a little payback is due..."

With that, he charged at the bushes towards where whoever it was was hiding, of whom he knew to be the cultists that had taken him and Acronix in the first place.

Acronix sighs, shaking his head slightly before moving to quickly follow Jay into the bush, knowing he won't be able to stop his friend from doing this now

Flashes emanated in the darkness of the just as zaps mixed with screams from the bushes. The smell of smoking and electrified bodies filled the jungle air. There was no mercy being shown, that was clear.

She leans against Zane, did he just electrocute people….

She turns to her husband.

We trusted him with our kids… those people are clearly dead!

The scent of blood also emanates from the area of the fight. Acronix's voice is heard worriedly and angrily crying out "JAY! NO!", just before the area is flooded in the colors of someone using the Element of Time - predominantly the Blues of Slow-Mo and Greens of Forward, but also the Reds of Pause as well to a lesser degree

She arrived.

Zane suggested I come here myself. Is everything alright?-

A stray arrow lodges itself deep into her arm.

Jay stumbled, looking down at the red flowing from his midriff. He cursed under his breath before looking back up. His face paled at the sight before him, the bodies littering the ground. His eyes were wide as he stumbled back and out of the bushes, his hand pressed against his midriff in a hope to suppress the bleeding.

He cursed under his breath again, this time in a horrified tone as he stumbled forward. “Cease amp flow and retract coulomb charge; reduce voltage pressure-!” He said to the band on his deltoid, almost in desperation.

“Ceasing amp flow and coulomb charge; reducing voltage pressure.”

Came that digital voice from the band just before the sparks coming off of him stopped and the lightning flickered from his eyes, returning them to normal. He cursed again under his breath as he braced himself against a tree, sliding to the ground. “Shoo shoot shoot- I didn’t mean to kill them- Crap- I shouldn’t have had the charge or anything that high- What was I doing-??” He squeezed his eyes shut in both pain and remorse as he leaned his head back against the trunk of the tree. He could feel the stinging burn of new lightning-like scars seared into his skin on his arms, his arm with the broken wrist still in the makeshift sling as the other was partly trying to stop the bleeding from his midriff, partly forgetting about it. He still had his injuries from being held captive and what they had done to him, the most prominent ones being the still-open deep, nasty gash across his cheek, his split lip, badly bruised black eye that had swollen a bit, and his purple, crooked broken nose.

He was muttering curses at himself, regret fueling his words.

She's shoving through leafes before seeing him "jaaay!" She rushed over concerned about him ...

"oh my god "

Jay flinched away, slightly forgetting about the stab wound on his midriff. His pupils were still slitted like a Serpentine’s, adrenaline still pumping through his veins. He shook his head, trying to scoot back and using his actually working hand to do so. “No- pleassse- Jusst- Ssstay back- I don’t want to hurt you too-“ he literally hissed out - a Serpentine accent attaching to his words.

She sits Futher away behind a tree before rolling a bottle of water towards him "are you okay? No offence but you look like hell "

Jay just kept his head down and turned away, repeatedly adjusting his mouth and lips to try and keep the now even-longer Serpentine fangs inside his mouth despite them trying to poke out. He himself was unaware of it, but his ears have become slightly (more) pointed. He didn’t answer, his good hand still on the ground and not even attempting to stop the bleeding of his midriff anymore.

"we have fangpyre cure stocked" she begins to do first-aid to stabilise jay "piiix!" She shouted distressed "I need a second hand over here now!"

Acronix hears the call for help and makes his way over, worriedly asking "Is Jay ok??"

"I...I don't know they've strapped an iPod or something too him.... " She coos at jay sushing him "I know jay I'm here " she injected the fangpyre antivenom into his arm "can you keep pressure on his wound cron?...I can't work at two places"

Acronix shrugs, moving closer and squatting next to Jay, "I mean. There's something I'd.. like to try. To try and help him... heal. I don't know if it'll work..."

As soon as the antivenom was injected into him, Jay's shot wide open. He jerked back, hard, falling over onto the ground as he writhed. Small sparks of electricity came off of him - despite the Vengestone still attached to him - but these sparks were dark, almost purple as they flickered from his form.

He thrashed wildly on the ground, hissing. "Get- Back-!" he said as he writhed. "I'll only- hurt you-!" He clutched with his good hand at his torso, curling up as he flailed.

Acronix watches worriedly and reaches to put a hand on Jay's shoulder, "Hey, it's ok bud, you're worth it, ok?"

Jay immediately swatted Acronix's hand away, throwing a sharp, slitted-pupil glare at him before jerking again, continuing to thrash in pain from the antivenom.

Jiro slowly walks over, down on all fours to remain lighter on his feet as to not frighten/spook Jay. He gently touched the tip of his snout to the top of Jay's head as he transmitted his words telepathically. "You cannot hurt me, so do not fret, lightning-kin. And I can protect anyone you fear to hurt with my Kra'Zaleth; allow your chosen-kin-and-other-half to aid you."

Acronix looks towards Jiro worriedly, then towards Nya, before looking to Jay, "Let us at least try, Jay. Please?"

Jay arched his chest into the air as he writhed. "It hurtsssss-! Make it ssstop-!" The veins in his arm that the anitvenom was injected into was beginning to turn an unnatural color.

Jiro looked over at Nya, again speaking telepathically. "That antivenom you gave him; it is paining him greatly. Whatever you thought it was that he is undergoing, you were wrong. The-unknown-thing which is happening to Jay is not what you thought it was and."

Nya begins to prepare a antivenom draining kit and begins draining it from jay

Acronix looks towards Nya for a moment before looking back to Jay, "I'm going to try something that I've always been curious about. I don't know if it'll hurt or how much. Are both of you ok with that?"

As the antivenom was being drained out from his body, his slowly stilled on the ground, the veins in his arms and where they had reached on his neck slowly returning to normal. He relaxed slightly against the ground, eyes a little droopy. "...thanksss..."

He pushed himself up with his good arm, wincing greatly at the pain from- well, everywhere. He looked towards Acronix once his friend spoke, looking a little unsure before softly nodding. "...sssure... I guessss..."

Acronix nods, hands now sparking in the Orange of Reverse as he reaches for Jay's mangled wrist and stab wound, "Brace yourself, bud," his Element flowing into the Master of Lightning and being concentrated on the injuries

Jay's brow pressed inward and upward slightly, flinching as his broken wrist was pulled from the hoodie-sling. His - now forked - tongue slipped out between his protruding fangs in a small, unsure hiss.

Acronix breathes slowly and deeply as his Elemental Power starts taking effect, starting the surprisingly uniquely painful process of undoing the injuries, something indescribable while simultaneously like having gained the injuries in the first place. Acronix is visibly focusing as he does this, brow furrowed, jaw partially clenched, and eyes a bit squinted.

Jay's eyes shot open wide as he bite his tongue to hold back a scream, his head jerking back with the pain. His bit his tongue so hard through the pain that it started bleeding, forcing him to result to clamping his teeth on the knotted sleeves of his hoodie where they were tied over his shoulder. He squeezed his eyes shut as he forced himself to take deep, long breaths.

At this point, Quandin steps into the direct vicinity, looking around to assess the situation as they hold a precious package in their hands

Jiro takes his gaze off of Jay and over to the stranger whom had a Storm Presence. He tilted his had slightly at the 'package' in the person's hands.

The stranger looks towards Jiro and nods, greeting him with "Hello, Dragon of the Storm."

Jiro roared as he dove with Nya on his back, seeming almost frantic. From below the tree canopy and on the jungle floor, there was a soft whirring sound before a loud BLAST.

The birds both zoom past the Falcon and dive fully through the canopy, disappearing out of sight through the leaves

Jiro breaches the tree canopy just in time to spot a figure - a very familiar figure - on the jungle ground, a bright blast of something striking Jay's form and knocking him back and to the ground.

Another familiar face appears in Acronix moving quickly over to Jay, calling out the Lightning Master's name in concern - "JAY?! Jay??"

Quandin fires an arrow at something in the bushes, making both their presence above and the threat below known. Quek and Quell circle above, cawing as they watch what's happening below, Quek diving after the arrow shortly after

Jiro let out a roar before bounding over and firing a beam of lightning from his maw at whoever was hidden in the bushes and had blasted whatever it was at Jay.

Acronix looks towards Jiro worriedly, then towards the bushes with a much angrier expression, "You get over with the dragon, ok Jay?"

Jay gritted his teeth as he sat up with the help of Acronix before glaring daggers at the bushes. He stood up on his own, his arm in the sling being held close to his body. "I'm fine." Without looking down at the band on his deltoid he spoke. "Amp flow 100 with 100 coulombs charge; voltage pressure 400." Came Jay's voice in almost a hiss.

"Upping flow to 100 amps of 100 coulombs; voltage pressure reaching 400."

Came a slight digital voice from his arm before lightning began sparking off of his form. He lifted his good hand as small bolts flickered from his eyes as he looked down at his hand, generating his lightning withing his palm before his hardened gaze snapped back to the bushes. "I'm thinking a little payback is due..."

With that, he charged at the bushes towards where whoever it was was hiding, of whom he knew to be the cultists that had taken him and Acronix in the first place.

Acronix sighs, shaking his head slightly before moving to quickly follow Jay into the bush, knowing he won't be able to stop his friend from doing this now

Flashes emanated in the darkness of the just as zaps mixed with screams from the bushes. The smell of smoking and electrified bodies filled the jungle air. There was no mercy being shown, that was clear.

The scent of blood also emanates from the area of the fight. Acronix's voice is heard worriedly and angrily crying out "JAY! NO!", just before the area is flooded in the colors of someone using the Element of Time - predominantly the Blues of Slow-Mo and Greens of Forward, but also the Reds of Pause as well to a lesser degree

Jay stumbled, looking down at the red flowing from his midriff. He cursed under his breath before looking back up. His face paled at the sight before him, the bodies littering the ground. His eyes were wide as he stumbled back and out of the bushes, his hand pressed against his midriff in a hope to suppress the bleeding.

He cursed under his breath again, this time in a horrified tone as he stumbled forward. “Cease amp flow and retract coulomb charge; reduce voltage pressure-!” He said to the band on his deltoid, almost in desperation.

“Ceasing amp flow and coulomb charge; reducing voltage pressure.”

Came that digital voice from the band just before the sparks coming off of him stopped and the lightning flickered from his eyes, returning them to normal. He cursed again under his breath as he braced himself against a tree, sliding to the ground. “Shoo shoot shoot- I didn’t mean to kill them- Crap- I shouldn’t have had the charge or anything that high- What was I doing-??” He squeezed his eyes shut in both pain and remorse as he leaned his head back against the trunk of the tree. He could feel the stinging burn of new lightning-like scars seared into his skin on his arms, his arm with the broken wrist still in the makeshift sling as the other was partly trying to stop the bleeding from his midriff, partly forgetting about it. He still had his injuries from being held captive and what they had done to him, the most prominent ones being the still-open deep, nasty gash across his cheek, his split lip, badly bruised black eye that had swollen a bit, and his purple, crooked broken nose.

He was muttering curses at himself, regret fueling his words.

Jay flinched away, slightly forgetting about the stab wound on his midriff. His pupils were still slitted like a Serpentine’s, adrenaline still pumping through his veins. He shook his head, trying to scoot back and using his actually working hand to do so. “No- pleassse- Jusst- Ssstay back- I don’t want to hurt you too-“ he literally hissed out - a Serpentine accent attaching to his words.

She sits Futher away behind a tree before rolling a bottle of water towards him "are you okay? No offence but you look like hell "

Jay just kept his head down and turned away, repeatedly adjusting his mouth and lips to try and keep the now even-longer Serpentine fangs inside his mouth despite them trying to poke out. He himself was unaware of it, but his ears have become slightly (more) pointed. He didn’t answer, his good hand still on the ground and not even attempting to stop the bleeding of his midriff anymore.

"we have fangpyre cure stocked" she begins to do first-aid to stabilise jay "piiix!" She shouted distressed "I need a second hand over here now!"

"I...I don't know they've strapped an iPod or something too him.... " She coos at jay sushing him "I know jay I'm here " she injected the fangpyre antivenom into his arm "can you keep pressure on his wound cron?...I can't work at two places"

Acronix shrugs, moving closer and squatting next to Jay, "I mean. There's something I'd.. like to try. To try and help him... heal. I don't know if it'll work..."

As soon as the antivenom was injected into him, Jay's shot wide open. He jerked back, hard, falling over onto the ground as he writhed. Small sparks of electricity came off of him - despite the Vengestone still attached to him - but these sparks were dark, almost purple as they flickered from his form.

He thrashed wildly on the ground, hissing. "Get- Back-!" he said as he writhed. "I'll only- hurt you-!" He clutched with his good hand at his torso, curling up as he flailed.

Acronix watches worriedly and reaches to put a hand on Jay's shoulder, "Hey, it's ok bud, you're worth it, ok?"

Jay immediately swatted Acronix's hand away, throwing a sharp, slitted-pupil glare at him before jerking again, continuing to thrash in pain from the antivenom.

Jiro slowly walks over, down on all fours to remain lighter on his feet as to not frighten/spook Jay. He gently touched the tip of his snout to the top of Jay's head as he transmitted his words telepathically. "You cannot hurt me, so do not fret, lightning-kin. And I can protect anyone you fear to hurt with my Kra'Zaleth; allow your chosen-kin-and-other-half to aid you."

Jay arched his chest into the air as he writhed. "It hurtsssss-! Make it ssstop-!" The veins in his arm that the anitvenom was injected into was beginning to turn an unnatural color.

Jiro looked over at Nya, again speaking telepathically. "That antivenom you gave him; it is paining him greatly. Whatever you thought it was that he is undergoing, you were wrong. The-unknown-thing which is happening to Jay is not what you thought it was and."

Nya begins to prepare a antivenom draining kit and begins draining it from jay

Acronix looks towards Nya for a moment before looking back to Jay, "I'm going to try something that I've always been curious about. I don't know if it'll hurt or how much. Are both of you ok with that?"

As the antivenom was being drained out from his body, his slowly stilled on the ground, the veins in his arms and where they had reached on his neck slowly returning to normal. He relaxed slightly against the ground, eyes a little droopy. "...thanksss..."

He pushed himself up with his good arm, wincing greatly at the pain from- well, everywhere. He looked towards Acronix once his friend spoke, looking a little unsure before softly nodding. "...sssure... I guessss..."

Acronix nods, hands now sparking in the Orange of Reverse as he reaches for Jay's mangled wrist and stab wound, "Brace yourself, bud," his Element flowing into the Master of Lightning and being concentrated on the injuries

Jay's brow pressed inward and upward slightly, flinching as his broken wrist was pulled from the hoodie-sling. His - now forked - tongue slipped out between his protruding fangs in a small, unsure hiss.

Acronix breathes slowly and deeply as his Elemental Power starts taking effect, starting the surprisingly uniquely painful process of undoing the injuries, something indescribable while simultaneously like having gained the injuries in the first place. Acronix is visibly focusing as he does this, brow furrowed, jaw partially clenched, and eyes a bit squinted.

Jay's eyes shot open wide as he bite his tongue to hold back a scream, his head jerking back with the pain. His bit his tongue so hard through the pain that it started bleeding, forcing him to result to clamping his teeth on the knotted sleeves of his hoodie where they were tied over his shoulder. He squeezed his eyes shut as he forced himself to take deep, long breaths.

Jiro said, speaking telepathically to Nya and Pixal who were on the Bounty flying just slightly behind him.

The birds both zoom past the Falcon and dive fully through the canopy, disappearing out of sight through the leaves

Jiro breaches the tree canopy just in time to spot a figure - a very familiar figure - on the jungle ground, a bright blast of something striking Jay's form and knocking him back and to the ground.

Another familiar face appears in Acronix moving quickly over to Jay, calling out the Lightning Master's name in concern - "JAY?! Jay??"

Jiro landed and whipped his head around, searching for where the blast came from, a deep growl emanating from his chest and throat.

Quandin fires an arrow at something in the bushes, making both their presence above and the threat below known. Quek and Quell circle above, cawing as they watch what's happening below, Quek diving after the arrow shortly after

"We are nearing the portion of the jungle where the Storm Belt rests over; your skies-sea-vessel will be unable to continue onward through it but I can still fly in a storm even as great as the Storm Belt's." Jiro said, speaking telepathically to Nya and Pixal who were on the Bounty flying just slightly behind him.

"Any form of vehicle will be struck down by the intense forever-storming-regions; it would be best to last your ship-of-sky and both of you ride me further into the junglling-Labyrinth-with-seeming-no-end. I can protect you both using my Kra'Zaleth to keep the storm at bay from you." Jiro answered through mind, looking down along his underbelly at where the two were on the ship.

Jiro swerved in the air and tipped into a dive down to where the Bounty had been landed, unfurling his wings at the last second and slowly let himself down on the ground. There, he crouched down on all fours and angled one of his arms in a way for the two to more easily climb onto his back.

Nya joined them carrying an aid kit in her backpack as she sits ready "cmon!"

She watched through the Falcon Vision as she stayed with Zane as he recovered.

Jiro glanced at the Falcon before using his Kra'Zaleth - the gem on his head - and extending its storm-field around Nya and the falcon before launching into the sky and flying above the jungle. As they entered the area where the Storm Belt lived over, Nya and the falcon were not effected by it due to Jiro's protection.

A pair of birds are darting around in the trees around them, seemingly watching them. The one with more orange feathers comes closer than the other, looking them over with miss-matched eyes.

Wow! They really are colorful! I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite like that!
