How do you fall in love with yourself ? The same way you fall in love with someone else. Acknowledge the bad, embrace the good, and grow. It happens slowly because love takes time to build. So, you take it day by day. You start being kinder to yourself. You talk to yourself with the same kindness and respect as you would someone important to you. You recognize your mistakes, but you also decide to forgive yourself for them. You spend purposeful time getting to know yourself, the same way you’d spend getting to know someone you are interested in. What you like, what you dislike, what makes you happy, and everything else in between. You don’t wait until you’re “perfect” to begin loving yourself either because if you think about it, you love others not because they are perfect, but because they are them. What’s your 2021 mood? 😴 🥳 🤪 🤩 🤗 😝 Walking into 2021 with the LOWEST possible expectations 🤣 and being a little extra at the same time. You have one job 2021 and that is to suck less than 2020, the bar is pretty low so don’t let us down. All jokes aside - My mood these last days planning📝 + praying 🙏🏾 for a happier new year I could give you a list of things I survived this year that tried to break me but since I’m still here standing and growing 🌱 by the grace of GOD I want to come with a positive despite all the negative we faced. If there’s one thing that really inspired me this year it’s the people who thrived in the midst of this 2020 storm. Whatever negative vibes that tried to tear them down they kept on pivoting, kept on dreaming, and kept on pushing and I’m so thankful to have experienced that.
